Just bought one yesterday, seeing your review, minipro is a beast, this review reminds me of top gear, where you get the vehicle to the peak and the fact this thing can do the extreme its amazing, for all the fun well made mate , mini pro is a pro indeed, thx for the complete vid mate 🙌🏼🙌🏼👌🏼
Im sure you got this question plenty of times regarding the Bluetooth pairing PIN number. Fresh out of the box. 2. Put it together 3. I believe I used the App at some point, and had to watch about five learning videos which the app forces you to do on the ninebot s-plus. Things like step on, turn 360 degress left, the right, roll forward, etc. The app comminicated with the s-plus the entir time. Meaning a connection (via Bluetooth) must have been made to follow my progress, right? Then, i used it at work. Crusing around, getting throttled back and beeps since I was in learning mode. Which was fast enough. Later on, after work, i start up the app (which i didnt use at all the entire time at work) and it tells me ive unlocked the s-plus and able to select speed mode. At some point, the app asked to pair with the device, and so I goto my android phones Bluetooth icon, search for, find the s-plus, and click it as a found Bluetooth device. The pairing attempt this time asked for a pin. It suggested 0000 or 1234 (four digits, not six im seeing here in your video). The four digit attemps both did not pair successfully. I then searched for help online, finding the six digit pin suggestions of six 0's (000000) that did not work. Can I still use the s-plus without the app Yes. Just like I did at work (with most likely the speed limits resulting in the beeping and throttling behavior. So, that brings us back to where I am. 1. Not able to successfully pair because of failed attemps due to bad PIN number (i assume) because the pairing sequence stops or fails each time (using the phones Bluetooth pairing process. Which means, I cant successfully use the app at the same time I have the unit on. I did try to record my trip (which it followed my trip) and when I stopped at my destination (Front door of the gym) the recording said it doesn't log trips less than or only 200 meters). So, the app is monitoring maybe externally my movements using gps info only, and perhaps, not from the device wheel turning information, suggesting Im still not communicating with the S-plus because I really didnt pair the device successfully. So the app us merely using gps info from my phone only, and not internal sensors from the s-plus. I'll keep trying to actually pair the s-plus using both phone Bluetooth icon, and, which I think is still the issue, having the s-plus pair with the app as well. Seeming, their are two forms of pairing. 1. Pairing with the phone, or pairing with the phone AND app. Perhaps, all pairing needs to be done through the app, and not outside the app, using the phones Bluetooth device found process? Hope this long trouble shoot explanation, leeds to somebody's aha moment to breakthrough to a solution. Thanks.
Great review. I just wish that there was more normal outdoor use shown. I live in NYC and am considering it, so I'd like to see how it would be used among the population, on sidewalks, down ramps and in the street. My i2 handles steep hills well. I see the app says to avoid those on this. So I'd like to see more of that -- less mud as you stated, that's not what it's for.
What a great review!!! :) Thank you. This is the future of two wheel transportation. Hooverboards good bye. Now we really have to convenience the UK government to go with the Future and make them Legal. We need to find more to sign the petition :)
+Gulong Rider Yes, need loads more to sign! The fact this has front lights, brake lights, indicators (albeit rear facing) and great reliability should = good to ride out and about. Thanks for watching!
Great Video! I'm disabled with MS it's hard for me to walk as my left knee is hard to control so I really want one of these! Yours is the best video I've seen on the mini. You really show it capabilities and how natural it can be. Lifting and carrying those boxes was awesome! Nobody has shown anything like that!
Something I was wondering though, can you squeeze your knees or reach down and grab the guide post and do a bunny hop like you can on bmx bikes? to jump up curbs or the like?
Oh and one other thing please. Nobody shows how fast you can stop. Say someone accidentally steps in front of you on the sidewalk and you need to stop fast? I would be using this in places like grocery stores to ride behind my push cart. Id like to know how fast I can avoid other people.
No as the joint on the steering bar is not strong enough for that, you might get away with a few, but it would for sure break under the strain as its not designed to do this.
Key here is travel a speed thats safe to keep your stopping distance optimum. If you are going 11mph in a store then maybe this isn't the tool for you for example. It will stop just fine - unless - like any vehicle you are going to fast for the situation.
Saw a few review videos of this model and few of the reviews keep on leaving the plastic film on the ruber pads for your feet. The rubber pads are there for safety, to keep you on the device. Make sure to remove that plastic film prior to first use.
It's difficult to take this guy seriously when he couldn't even tell there were plastic covers over the foot pads, or that the walking handle is for walking, not for going over curbs. Bright fella.
I assume the single wheel makes your legs a lot more tired after a while? Or is that not the case? Now that the One and the normal Mini are the same price it's a hard decision...
+youmongrel Not really now, depends on terrain really, if its really rough then on both machines you need to bend your legs - which certainly makes your legs ache!
how long does the battery last? and what is the slowest speed can u do on this for filming? can you also replace the battery on the fly if you are going outdoor on long distant with extra battery pack?
Hahaha the end reminded me on Starship Enterprise. Why? I don't know lol. Always wondered that all this technology in the future but people still walking great distances hahaha Great video Ian
+Lintott8888 For sure, these are much better quality and will last a long time. The only restriction is inside leg measurement. Inside leg min measurement (this is because the mini pro has a steering bar that you must stand over to control effectively and safely) of 23 inches.
Ninebot UK: I also have a UA-cam channel of my own - not so much for product reviews, but for general automotive repair help. As such, thank you for this very in-depth video review; one reviewer's response on Amazon I read specifically stated issues with *any* rock or even a small pebble intruding in the mechanicals of this device. Your review, however, has totally negated that one just by your mud-bogging the thing! Thank you again - I get mine tomorrow (I have hip/lower back issues) and I will be sure to post up a review on Amazon after, ...yes, AFTER I am able to learn. Far too many reviews are posted, seemingly, with the users' only having like 10 minutes' of use. Not a toy, be sure to practice and be very good with it before one uses it in public areas. Nice, nice video, from a fellow-channel guy! And, good luck with your petition for public use! r-
Well, I've had my Bot for about 10 days now and I can tell you that it seems MUCH longer than that. I live alone, and I used the wall for my initial "help" training. Since then, I've had it to work a couple of times, shown it to two co-workers, and am so very comfortable on my BOT! Super product, in my view. Downside for maybe some is that it's a bit heavy to lift. But, I stick it in my trunk (boot) and it fits just fine with my backpack. thx for your review again! Made a difference in my choosing to buy one. I'm glad I did! r-
+Ninebot UK could should test it on a incline test track. same as cars get tested one. one side of the car have dry ground and the other have something slippery. that way we could see if it throws you off when one side looses grip, or if it will tacle it.
It will spin one wheel and you will come off - IF you dont steer in time. Essentially you fully control what it does. So if a left wheel slips as long as you steer sharp right it will cut the power to the left and put it to the right.
This was an awesome review. The lady and I just got a pair on Prime Day for 700 USD a pop. Seems like a great deal for what these little guys are. Cheers!
I can't believe you took it off road! 😆🤣 Cracking review thank you... I just bought one for my film making arsenal and love it. The problem is that I now need to buy my daughter one as she has hijacked it 😂
on yeah and wheel covers I don't like the pro ones it looks like a pease of tape is missing try doing a J turn on it :-) make sure you get someone to film it before you even try it :-) happy ninebotting
+BakingApe Thats the price they are (The PRO version), if they are much cheaper than that then really question where its coming from and also if it really is the PRO. Thanks for watching!
+PAYBACK118 No problem. I am not aware where you can get a Mini Pro for $315, I think you are referring to the entry level model of the mini, the xiaomi mini? Its designed for the Chinese market only and has a different build spec than the Mini Pro.
+Geekanoids Segway do the larger units. (Although as you may be aware Ninebot own Segway). This is a shrunk down version of all the previous bigger models. Its awesome!
It's very entertaining but everyone knows that you can't use road tyres on mud. Also it's not miles better than the cheaper (knee barless) airboard/hoverboard iohawk. The advantage of it compared to the hoverboard is the fact that it has a fixed footplate , so it's not twitchy at top speed like the hoverboard. For around the office/warehouse a £220 hoverboard is better because of the price. (I have a Ninebot One E + /airwheel & hoverboard) so I'm not bias.
+DanieI Joseph That's what I thought originally...I thought here we go he is an expensive cheap thing....but simply isn't. It really has the same engineering quality as the £2.5k Elite. Hoverboards life is very short, so despite getting them for £250-£300 they don't come with the same 2 year warranty; which demonstrates the quality and trust in the Mini Pro, for the life of the Mini Pro you would in most cases have to replace the hoverboard 10 times over. The flat base is just one of the biggest advantages, as such the 2 cant be compared, they are just massively different in design, in fact the Mini was being engineered and tested before the cheapo hoverboards came to market;Testing them side to side would prove almost nothing (except the cheapo $100 cost one is worth just that). I don't' really have an issue with the hoverboards (apart from their name and the 88% failure rate and the subsequent fires they are causing...which is due in part to the cheapness...and the cutting corners to be able to sell them that cheap), they do serve a part of the market who don't want to / cant spend that sort of money. Office use - yeah the cheapo's can be used ok. Warehouse work, nah they would last no time under real stress, it couldn't keep lugging around 100kg trolleys and carry heavy boxes consistently nor for any length of time considered economical (seen plenty of videos of people simply jumping up and onto their hoverboards and them bending)...I mean did you see the size of those bolts on the Mini Pro! Great engineering. So it does come down to 1. Can the buyer afford to get the Mini Pro? 2. If they can't but they want it for any length of time and want the best performing, safest, best engineered and the most usable PEV on the market then saving until they can would be the best advice I could offer. Will just have to save x4 longer. *This comes from experience of selling 100's of Ninebots....and hearing the "I wish I had come to you first!" phone calls and emails. If I didn't run Speedy Feet....and had nothing to do with this, my boys would have hoverboards for Christmas! And that's the irony I guess....its almost always down to short sighted decisions, but probably worse than that is education of the facts. If the cheapos had not hit the market then all the seizures by Trading Standards would not be happening (Ninebots have CE certifications and also all the battery testing procedures with the certificates to back it up....hence how we are able to pass through shipments and resell here in the UK. In contrast 15,000 cheapo boards were seized last month....88% had failures upon testing, so we destroyed). Thanks for watching! Love this new wave of transportation, but don't like the cavalier attitude of some manufacturers who are around for a couple of months then gone. (hence I only deal with Ninebot...or in the future any company I deem to be morally fit AND put time, money and investment into their product, not just throw it out there without due care and attention).
+Ninebot UK I think that seeing all the negative press about hoverboards & alike, manufacturers should look towards making full road/pavement legal versions or try to get the law changed regarding them. I use my Ninebot all the time for general use chores & going to the gym & putting it in the lockers etc. I regularly go past police & luckily haven't been stopped # chased yet ;) Electric compact transportation is definitely the way forward & the law needs to catchup/change.

+saud al abdullah You have the Mini or Mini Pro? Yes with the remote control its not that powerful, so grass, carpet, hills - its note really controllable (it could be, but its restricted by the software).
It´s a nice toy for me (i have one of the Ninebot Mini from Xiaomi) but not more or less. For me i want to drive my One E+ offroad and that´s many times better than the Mini......... If you change the tire of the One to the Mad Mike Tire............ you know what i mean, you can go everywhere! ;-)
NO update best 1.1.7 PLEASE FIX THE you stand after some time on your toetips, with the steering bar behind your knees, 1) going uphill is less powerful and less fast than with 1.1.7, 2) if you are doing long cruises like me near highest speed, you stand after some time on your toetips, with the steering bar behind your knees, 3) if you are driving a lot around max speed, you are soon idiotically "punished" by the firmware lowering your maxspeed limit, 4) if you are driving a lot around max speed, the Mini is still beeping to much, 5) the maxspeed display is a fake: if it shows 18 km/h, you are in reality driving below 17 km/h, between 16,5 and 16,8.
Of course its not! The question was how does it handle and to what degree. It showed itself to be really capable as it turns out, and since the years ago this was filmed we have been on many an offroad adventure.

Tested in real world conditions. Thanks for the review.
Lovely review. Really enjoyed that you took the time to explore the Mini PRO's capabilities and pushed it to the extreme in the outdoors! Cheers!
+Segway MiniPRO Thanks!
I have ninebot mini. I downloaded the app. And it dosent work. It searches for the ninebot mini and in the end it gets nothing. Please help.

Also full size segways with knobbly tyres is literally unstoppable in thick mug (I've experienced it) :)
I'm actually contemplating getting on of these for my film business
And how do I get it clean again without damaging the electrical system? What can he tolerate with water jet?
You guys are a riot. Cheers!

Thanks for the support William! Hope you are enjoying yours :)
if i get one from amazon will it come all clean so scrached or is it better to get it from the actuall ninebot website

Yeah dont leave that on - unless you don’t want the pads dirty for initial testing prior to handing to someone else.
That looks like fun, especially playing in the mud ;)

Yeah what a numpty.
This thing looks way classier than any of those ''hoverboard'' things. I would actually consider using this in public.

As with the previous comment, I too have MS so would ideally be looking for one with a seat! ???
Good video. Thanks! Would it be a bad idea getting one of these for a 7 & 8 year old to share rather than a hooverboard?
+Lintott8888 For sure, these are much better quality and will last a long time. The only restriction is inside leg measurement. Inside leg min measurement (this is because the mini pro has a steering bar that you must stand over to control effectively and safely) of 23 inches.

So when going at a slow speed, even if one side spins up, it will keep the balance with the other wheel?
Loved the review awesome, I’m trying to buy one of these for my son and was wondering where I can get one from. Thanks in advance.
Thanks! Not sure anymore sorry!
hi .nice video
got mine few days ago.. cool thing.. not the pro mine only difference I can see is the battery size and the handle
great review brother, i am going to buy one thanx to you.
Great review. Thank you !
Which one do you like the most? This one or the ninebot one s2? Do you prefer one wheel or the 2?
I prefer the ONE wheel in terms of being able to go anywhere you like. My wife prefers the 2 wheel (as she cant ride the single wheel!)
How do you mean you can go anywhere with the one wheel? Why cant you reach all places with the 2 wheels?
Kristof Lenaers One word - Curbs :) ONE wheel you can jump up and carry on.
I love my Ninebot One but man this thing is too cool, I'm going to have to start saving my money for one of these. :)
+Aaron Corsi Thanks for watching Aaron! Yeah its pretty cool, I really wasnt expecting much from it to be honest so I had a smile on my face all day!
+Ninebot UK could should test it on a incline test track. same as cars get tested one. one side of the car have dry ground and the other have something slippery. that way we could see if it throws you off when one side looses grip, or if it will tacle it.

Best review on youtube! Thank you! Does it have a kensington lock? Is there any effective way to protect from theft?
+Denis Gorbikov Thanks Denis! No ability for this no, although there are a couple of areas you could probably anchor it down!
This was an awesome review.
The lady and I just got a pair on Prime Day for 700 USD a pop. Seems like a great deal for what these little guys are.
Cheers!
Awesome, glad you liked it and the Mini Pro! Enjoy!
I think we will. It was your video that sealed the deal.
Where did u buy yours from?
Best made in China ever
I can't believe you took it off road! 😆🤣 Cracking review thank you... I just bought one for my film making arsenal and love it. The problem is that I now need to buy my daughter one as she has hijacked it 😂
Lol
please i wanna ask you how much K/M its walk until battery out ?
is this thing legal on UK public roads?
How easy is it to ride compared to a hoverboard?
very easy
on yeah and wheel covers
I don't like the pro ones it looks like a pease of tape is missing
try doing a J turn on it :-) make sure you get someone to film it before you even try it :-)
happy ninebotting
Speedy Feet your th best.
Thanks!
Please test the ninebot z6 as I've got one on the way in 40 days..
Sorry no EU models until at least March, and they will only be bringing in the Z10. www.speedyfeet.co.uk/blogs/news/ninebot-one-z-availability
@@Speedyfeetuk I've ordered a z6 from Gearbest can you give me any advice I've never ridden an electric wheel..? 😊

+BakingApe They are actually more expensive than that. Dealers in the US are selling at $1299; rumor is Amazon is going to sell them at $999.
Excuse my ignorance but how does $315 (MSRP) turn into £895?
+PAYBACK118 No problem. I am not aware where you can get a Mini Pro for $315, I think you are referring to the entry level model of the mini, the xiaomi mini? Its designed for the Chinese market only and has a different build spec than the Mini Pro.

+Geekanoids Segway do the larger units. (Although as you may be aware Ninebot own Segway). This is a shrunk down version of all the previous bigger models. Its awesome!
Hi I like your videos my name is Taylor
Nice to meet you Taylor!

I regularly go past police & luckily haven't been stopped # chased yet ;)
Electric compact transportation is definitely the way forward & the law needs to catchup/change.

I want one so bad!
Lol, a lot of peeps do, so much fun! :)
If you control it with your phone on carpet does it slow down ?
And also mine stands on carpet while it's off but when it's on a different surface it falls down while it's off
+saud al abdullah You have the Mini or Mini Pro? Yes with the remote control its not that powerful, so grass, carpet, hills - its note really controllable (it could be, but its restricted by the software).
The pro 😊
It's way better than the io hawk although it's something different
It's also cheaper
It´s a nice toy for me (i have one of the Ninebot Mini from Xiaomi) but not more or less.
For me i want to drive my One E+ offroad and that´s many times better than the Mini.........
If you change the tire of the One to the Mad Mike Tire............ you know what i mean, you can go everywhere! ;-)
+rmn33 Very true! Thanks for watching!
this is Xiaomi Ninebot?
+Julio Hermida V No this is the Pro Verison :) Thanks for watching!
NICE
+EduGames Cheers Dude!
I have ninebot mini but the app is not working for. Someone please help
Thanks for watching and the comment. What device are you using?
+Ninebot UK As in you mean? the ninebot mini or the phone
+bile moahmmed Android or iPhone
+MibMab Android
Are you still having the problem?
NO update best 1.1.7 PLEASE FIX THE you stand after some time on your toetips, with the steering bar behind your knees,
1) going uphill is less powerful and less fast than with 1.1.7,
2) if you are doing long cruises like me near highest speed, you stand after some time on your toetips, with the steering bar behind your knees,
3) if you are driving a lot around max speed, you are soon idiotically "punished" by the firmware lowering your maxspeed limit,
4) if you are driving a lot around max speed, the Mini is still beeping to much,
5) the maxspeed display is a fake: if it shows 18 km/h, you are in reality driving below 17 km/h, between 16,5 and 16,8.
dale
20:16 Seriously 😒😮😮
It would be cool if this could charge via a power bank.
+Pravin Patil great Idea If you want to carry a 5kg Power Bank with you.
SaschaK
Common, powerbanks are so compact and light weight these days.
+Pravin Patil Most powerbanks have a voltage of 5 and like 2.4amps. These things charge from a 12v wall socket
Thats the imitation segway ninebot pro...say NOto fake ..original One does not have headlights flicker Whats all that beeping on a full battery?
No, no its not a fake. We were buying these in before fakes were made and buying direct from Ninebot before the segway buy out.
The new firmware 1.2.8 just made the ninebot completely useless. Max speed at 14kmph, unsmooth ride. Dont upgrade and dont buy !
Big Dummy!!! If You're Testing It Off Road, Then Put Off Roads Tires On It And Stop Wasting Our Time.
Silly billy, you are missing the point. Its not a video on how much you can mod it, its a video on what is it capable of as standard out the box.
@@Speedyfeetuk It's Obviously Not Made For Muddy Trails Out Of The Box!!! LOL!!!!
Of course its not! The question was how does it handle and to what degree. It showed itself to be really capable as it turns out, and since the years ago this was filmed we have been on many an offroad adventure.
where did your order yours from?
