Happy Easter Mike and Laura I didn't know watchingbyour channel would have such an effect on me. While shopping the supermarket I said Holy Snarky. Well seems your words hit home. I wanted to share that with you. I think I'm going to make a ring tone that says those exact words !
I have the same Stripmeister. I use a DeWalt 12v cordless drill that I permanently keep attached to it. I have three batteries that I cycle through, always having one charged and ready to go. I like this better than the one with a built motor. Drill was $50 on marketplace. A replacement motor from Stripmeister is a whole lot more if it fails. Plus mine is portable. You have to use it and get a feel for it to do a good job on stranded wire. I like to put the input feed far as low as I can on the wire before locking it in place. This keeps the wire right at the sweet feeding spot. Then you have to learn the ‘feel’ needed on adjusting the blade. To get it to just cut the insulation but not Turing your stranded wire into prickly porcupine strands. Once you get the feel for using it, I cruise through wire while listening to podcasts and drinking a cold one. It’s Therapeutic. Relaxing. Something about stripping wire that makes you forget all your troubles and stresses. Strip on bromeister!!! 👍🏼

I have a whole bunch of 3/4 or 1in and 1 1/2 inch Powerline wire and when you strip the black jacket off there's a copper jacket that surrounds the wires, you strip that out also and then you got a bunch number 1 wire and you've also have the Copper from the jacket. I've been doing this by hand it wouldn't handle the one-and-a-half but it would easily do the smaller Powerline wire, I need to get one of those big time!!! It's a lot of work doing it by hand. I have a secret dumpster that they're dumping all this stuff in and it's going to the landfill, it's got trash and wood in it also so it's definitely not going to a scrapyard, so I go there every day after they leave and grab what they they thrown in there
Love your show, been scrapping for 20 yaers, had a dodge grand caravan stuffed fith electrical wire from a demolition of a fishibg dock canary. have a couple cans just throwing extra's adds up over time

Way back in the day I use to tell you to rate that stuff down and get more money and now your doing shorts! That great! I did all this stuff when I was young cause believe me it’s a young man’s game for sure! Hope you last a long time cause for sure it’s a young man’s game/sport!

Awesomeness, that's good stuff right there brother. Here in NC we get #2 price for any copper wire that's not stripped, anything stripped/cleaned of it's insulation is #1 whether it's stranded or solid core copper wire.
