Love this tune ! Definitely one of my favorite jazz solos. Not only sums the feeling of jazz but it’s absolutely one of the most technically challenged solos I’ve heard. You really played it fantastically. Very impressive!
This is so cool. I love the transition around 1:30 from this super bluesy slow jam to these crazy runs. Same at 4:00 - there's something about that contrast where it cuts in the opposite direction at 4:10 that just feels so damn satisfying. Incredible job Tobi!
So cool to see another player’s trancription of this - an absolute favourite solo of mine by the effervescent Seamus Blake. Great work! My goodness, you nailed all those fast runs and altissimo lines. It feels almost ridiculous to mention this, but the intro has some wromg notes. Try G# A C E G E F G G# D. Best regards from another big fan. Will pick up my trancription where I left it off some seven years ago...!
Your playing is spot on, I’m talking about the notation of that phrase. Shoot, this solo really sums up The Feeling Of Jazz. Such an abundance of bluesy feeling, great ideas and pacing, magnificent and exciting fast passages with stellar articulation, storytelling based on the greatness of the past masters. And a sound to die for!
Severely impressed. No one else could have transcribed it so flawlessly
Thanks for checking it out, Luigi!
Extraordinario trabajo!! felicitaciones!

Thank you! Yes - also one of my favorite solos. So melodic, swinging and engaging
Kiilllliiinnnn 🙌🏽🔥 this is literally one of my all time favorite solos, not just from Seamus but period! 😆
Thanks 🙏🏼. Same here! This one has everything, melody, rhythm, motif development…
Love that low Bb at 3:07!
Yeah, me too! Love Seamus' low end
Incredible!

At 3:25, you’re half a beat late, the whole phrase is displaced.
You mean the notation or the playing? Focused more on getting the playing exact. Don’t hear a difference, but thanks for pointing it out
