I’ll be the first to say I’m not perfect at this! You know what they say… Do as I say not as I do. But I do try to keep up with all of these tips because they are very helpful in maintaining an organized playroom.
TIPS FOR DECLUTERING TOYS WHEN IT’S A TOUGH FOR YOU OR YOUR CHILD:
(Always do what feels right for your family ❤️)
🤗If you struggle to Declutter toys without your children’s consent, because YOUR toys were decluttered without your knowledge as a child, causing lifelong upset, I hear you. And I’m sad that happened.
☺️ Something to keep in mind during this process, an overcrowded room can overwhelm anyone, especially when it’s a child in a room designed for them
🎀 So as you are decluttering, remind yourself that too many toys means my child could become overwhelmed by the visual clutter which can cause them to act out for reasons they can’t understand, they may not want to use their playroom, plus so much more!
🗑️ Rule of thumb is to always involve your children if they are old enough to grasp the concept of decluttering. But if you have a child who struggles, you can always put toys aside (out of sight while they are not home) that you feel they don’t use to see if they actually will miss them. Sort of like a 30 day trial. After 30 days, they don’t remember them, it’s probably safe to donate ❤️

    The Montessori way,
Is very similar to what you said.
    One IN one OUT!
    Montessori teachers tell there students.
" Yes you can use/ play, when done it will need to be put back when you want to move onto another toy.
And if they don't follow the rules.. then both teacher and child go to said toy, teacher says " okay whats wrong with this picture? Teacher does not help child put away, just patiently waits and makes sure child had done there job putting aeay toys.
This system builds confidence and a feeling of accomplishment!

I am having trouble with the One In and One Out rule right now. Thanks for the video, I think I have an idea! 😅 😊

This is exactly what I needed! I was wondering about the whole process of hiding toys away that are messier. Do you have a video about what to do if you don't have a playroom? Our playroom is our living room/front room area.

Kids make memories… They make mess where ever they go. If you don’t have a fingerprint lock ( that has a timer) they will open and pull any and every bin to find the one they want.

Thank you for taking the time to share with me! I have not experience that problem BUT for the toys I’m really concerned about, I do keep those locked up (like I showed at the end 🥰)

I did the accustomed screenshot, copy, etc. But did not take me directly to the drawers.
    I have some feedback here:
First of all, I love your channel! It has become one of my favorites.
Second, I feel like you put so much effort in your videos and I think they could grow in reaching out more people if only your links worked or there was an easier way.
Most people scrolling already find the step process of looking for a link in bio kind of a hassle, buuut we are here for the magical product so we might go the extra step, okay.
But in your channel we have to 1. Go to the comments, 2. Screenshot it, 3. Go to our gallery, 4. Copy link, 5. Go to a searchbar and paste it, and i.e. in this video, I did that and still I am not directed to exactly where I could get the drawers, so that is another step.
So this is being not user friendly at all. Like I said, I love your channel, I see all the effort you are putting in making this content and it is amazing. I think if you would find a way to make it easier for viewers to find the products, this channel could grow so much more. I hope you can find a way to improve this process. Thank you for all the time and detail you put into this channel, it really is one of the best on home organizing! Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for taking the time to give me such detailed feedback as any feedback is a gift. So grateful! The problem is that UA-cam disabled the ability to have clickable links for ALL shorts 🙈 and I haven’t reached enough views to have a link embedded in the video. So I’m caught in this awful limbo trying to make it work. So for now, this is all I can offer other than directing people to my UA-cam homepage where my main link is incredibly user-friendly. Which maybe is what I should do till we get out of limbo land. Do you feel that would be easier? Thank you again for your feedback and for being here 🥰
