Jenny, yes, you need to convince Jerry to wear a mic when he's filming, that's a fantastic plan! The water trough looks wonderful planted up, it's beautiful, and will bring smiles to your faces throughout the fall and winter months, with one possible exception... the guy who doesn't like Fire Chief arbs! 😂🤣😂
Starting back to front for any rookie works so much better. Center out. Logic. Left to right changes the top soil level making those plants on the right taller. Or Dig holes deeper on the right to compensate.
Jenny I watched this video yesterday and then later in the day I went to my local garden center to pick up a fire chief for a pot that I have. The lady at the garden center told me those were popular today! They started out with several and they are almost gone. I chuckled to myself and thought, I know why, they watched Jenny's video! 🤣 Guess it worked on me too cause I went and got one! 😂
It looks perfect Jenny. Love the trough. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 PS: can you tour us through the dahlias you got from Laura. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Excellent video! Love those trees looks like i will be doing some shopping when all this rain moves out! Jenny such a inspiration to help us all to make things look beautiful!
Hey Jenny-Can we please get a Microphone hooked up on Jerry for a behind the scenes commentary? I think it would be a brilliant idea and we are in desperate need of having his voice heard✨🤍🥰
Omg...it was killing me when you loaded up those first bushes and how you grabbed them by the tops! Lol... I know they are tough...I got a kick out of it..lol..
I really like your trough arrangement. The colors compliment each other very well. Wish we had a nursery nearby to purchase those plants, but only box stores here.
Love your channel Jenny! I hope to get up there and visit y’all one day soon. If you are ever go South , I invite you to stop by our new garden center ‘Grass Roots’ in Graniteville SC. I would love to meet you and show you around!😊
I have done something similar with smaller evergreens in my whiskey barrels. Love the combination with fire chief arbs! I hope y’all are okay after Ian.
It really looks terrific and I love that it will last through the winter. I need some ideas for a round galvanized container that is in mostly shade. It’s hard to find something for height that will last though the winter. I know my coleus will not last. Are there any evergreens that would work?
I agree with Josh. I had a cryptomeria that I planted in Spring (gorgeous), not knowing it would go completely brown in winter (“coppery” is a nice way of saying dead brown). I hated it, and also switched out dozens of Korean boxwoods that changed more of a copper color in winter. We need GREEN evergreens in the dead of winter! Lol! 😂
Not plant related but I love your sweaters! I notice you have them in different colors. When I find a sweater I like I get them in different colors. Any chance you can mention where you found these? The length and fit is great!
Hi Jenny, how many holes did you drill in stock tank, and did you have to raise it off ground for it to drain well? Great idea love the look of this planter. I think tractor supply has them but they have big sticker on them. Wonder how hard they will be to get off. 😊
Hi Jenny, I have a question, for you and Jerry. I live in Texas zone 9a and I want to know if Lemon Coral Sedum can handle our summer nights, we only cool down to the mid 70's with humidity levels in the 90% range? Also, if it can handle those hot humid nights would I need to give it some afternoon shade in my harsh climate, or could it handle all day sun here? It would get about 10 hours of sun where I am thinking of putting it.
Most of my garden centers here in central Illinois have plastic pot recycling bins next to their retail stores. That's where I take mine. You might want to check with your garden centers to see if they have that too.
I love my stock tanks! Have had 4 for a while now. Garden in 3 of them and gorgeous flowers in the other. The flowers are easier to care for cause I dont have to water as often, I guess it holds water a little better than a small pot. Fixing to pull out my petunias and plant pansies again. The pansies were beautiful til June this year! I hated to pull them out. I also had good luck with tulips and buttercups in it this spring. Planted them last fall before I planted the pansies and they were stunning all together this spring!
Hey Jenny would Jackson ever consider sharing his knowledge and experience he has with the nursery? I guess that would actually be a direct question to Mr. Jackson himself.. How’s about it Jackson?✨🤍🙏🏼

Yes please put a mic on Jerry we love to hear what he has to say and we love videos with your banter back and forth
This is my favorite so far in the water trough. I love it! The evergreens can stay in there much longer too. Great job!
I think this is my favorite planting you have done in the trough. Great job Jenny!! ❤️😊
the tree is very beautiful, always makes eyes fresh with a beautiful green color, thank you for sharing good luck always and keep the spirit ❤️❤️❤️
I used green giants in my containers last year and they were great with lights all year. This spring I moved them to the landscape! 👍😉👍
Those green giants are beautiful. Perfect backdrop for the trough. Please show us an update throughout the season. :)
Crap! I just emptied my trough out and was going to donate it to my niece. Now I am ponderin...😂😂😂😂
Now I need to go get a water trough ! Absolutely love all the different elements of shades of green ,texture and a pop of color .
Jenny,
Praying ya'all weathered Ian safely! 🙏
Love the arrangement. ❤ Looks like it will be easy to tweek when the holidays draw near, too. 🎄😊

Agree with everyone. Jerry needs a microphone! Thanks Jenny for another stunning video!
I love this combination and would love to see more like this
Love the water trough & your beautiful arrangement of plants. I go for bigger containers now,
easier to make a big 'statement'. Thanks.
You’re so right about getting the proportions right between house and pot size, to avoid dinkiness
It came out so cute 👏👏👏👏👏🧡🧡🧡😊😊🥰🥰

Beautiful use of evergreens! Hope you faired well during Ian.
Love this!
Love this combo! It is just very interesting varieties. Thanks for new ideas! Hope you are all and safe!
I love evergreens in cointainers! I have kept blue boulevard cypress Pom Pom, wissels suguaro cypress, mungo pine, and others in containers longterm.

Thank you Jenny, your container is beautiful.🍁🍂🍁💚🙃
Love this. You did a wonderful job on this container. Such a great idea for fall, winter and spring.
I wish they would make arbs that stay smaller like the size of what’s in there now.
So pretty!!
Love this container arrangement!!
I love your fall container arrangement. Thanks Jenny.
Love the green giants. any large cedars in my yard are havens for the birds in the winter. I need a water tank , sure makes planting easier with age😊
What a great idea. I love the look!

If u go to minute 3:52, Jenny explains about the drain holes.

Deb here. Do nursery/garden centers want the plastic pots back or should we put in our recycle bin? Always enjoy your videos. Thanks.
