1. What if they shoot & hit someone below the knee, It's another PC?
2. They shoot & it deflects off a defender body or stick into the goal_It's still No Goal?
3. They shoot & a defender deflects the ball with their stick but another attacker shoots the loose ball into the goal_It's still No Goal?
1. Yes, a shot that hits below the knee will almost always be another PC
2. 3. Am I missing something from your question? Please explain the full scenario, i.e. what kind of shot (flick or hit) and what height, please.
Just to clarify, even though a goal can't be scored, it is still a "shot" though? Therefore, if the first is a hit, it still must be below the backboard?
Let me see if I understand you correctly...your scenario is the ball hasn't gone outside the circle, and the first ball directed at goal is a hit. Your question is whether that first hit still fulfils the definition of a shot even though it couldn't be a goal?

I do have a different scenario regarding the ball not leaving the circle that I've 'debated' with colleagues and coaches about as well. I hope that my decision would be the right one because I convinced the others and got them to change their minds. I'd happily ask you about that but don't want to throw lots at you in one go if you'd prefer it some other time.

if the ball hasn't exited the circle, and the attacker does a drag flick as in the video, wouldn't that then be an illegitimate shot and therefore classed as a lifted/dangerous?
Hey Sam, I get where your logic is going for sure. Remember that the rule is that you can't *score a goal* if the ball hasn't exited the circle. It isn't a foul to shoot at goal in this setting even if you can't score that goal. So the attack can still drag flick, or raise a hit towards the goal (as always, still subject to general danger rules), they just can't score. I hope that helps!
