Mine was pretty bad too... Just like his. But after installing an OTA update it got way better! The camera earlier had a beauty setting in the form of levels... 0 to 6 I think and it was absolute shit. I was so disappointed. Now that's gone, now I have to choose each facial feature and use the slide to control the level... No overall level represented by numbers like earlier. Its pretty good now.

I had the same model too it was called the carbon black if im not wrong. Man this brings me back when the smartphone market was actually good and now that i think about it this phone was such a steal, also a great alternative to the oneplus 7 pro with a slight downgrade. This phone was a mix of love and hate😂the occasional touch errors because i bought it for pubg mobile and it being worse when youre plugged in sends me in the middle of the night lol. But yeah i regret selling it now because it was giving its best in the summer with my warm and sweaty ass hands lol. Really other than the touch issues, the camera was not that good(the selfie camera and the night mode), and the bloatapps,the ads and promotions i love it

If you're a UA-camr, just remember...... extensive streaming and video exporting can heat the phone up but for extensive max graphics settings gaming.....it's amazing. I mean the Snapdragon 855 is like the next to the best chipset for mobile(the best being SD 865). So I'd recommend it 100% cuz I've been using it for 7 months and it's just amazing. :)

Frankie I liked your review more lol. It seems Marques has the China version with a custom ROM as it has Google Play. The mi 9t its really smooth and with its Global Rom and less MIUI 10. Either his cel has a defect on its FF camera or the custom rom just blew it all up as it has been said in XDA. Hello, I just bought Xiaomi mi 9T (K20). And I just want to say that this phone is incredible. After watching this video I was skeptical about the front camera. But the front camera is crazy good... I don't know how marques manage to take those bad photos?!?!?! the front camera is far better than my old s7 Samsung.
The problem with Xiaomi is their QA is shit. This is why they can sell device so cheap. So basically buyers are in for a Russian roulette. They calculated and its worth to just replace the parts if any customer complain, rather then invest a lot in testing like Samsung and Huawei.
He is not wrong mate. I got the phone. The selfie u get from the stock camera is just downright garbage. I installed the GCam port and the selfies instantly became much better. The rear camera is surprisingly good BTW.

Go for it bro. The specs are so awesome and it's good for gaming. I bought the Mi 9T (aka the K20) it doesn't even lagging or stuck. It's really a good bargain.

@Alcatraz TM PUBGM has horrid graphics. COD Mobile has good graphics when I tested it. I think there are games with better graphics, such as Fortnite and Minecraft.

He took every picture with insane light behind his head. Instead of turning towards the sun so his face is lit, he turned front facing camera toward sun. It was just blinded lens.
Maybe the manufacturer isn't checking enough for quality when they finish the cameras

If you're a UA-camr, just remember...... extensive streaming and video exporting can heat the phone up but for extensive max graphics settings gaming.....it's amazing.
I mean the Snapdragon 855 is like the next to the best chipset for mobile(the best being SD 865).
So I'd recommend it 100% cuz I've been using it for 7 months and it's just amazing.

Frankie I liked your review more lol. It seems Marques has the China version with a custom ROM as it has Google Play. The mi 9t its really smooth and with its Global Rom and less MIUI 10. Either his cel has a defect on its FF camera or the custom rom just blew it all up as it has been said in XDA. He shouldve done the comparison with the MI 9t as it's much more smoother with the global Rom

The problem with Xiaomi is their QA is shit. This is why they can sell device so cheap. So basically buyers are in for a Russian roulette. They calculated and its worth to just replace the parts if any customer complain, rather then invest a lot in testing like Samsung and Huawei.

He is not wrong mate. I got the phone. The selfie u get from the stock camera is just downright garbage. I installed the GCam port and the selfies instantly became much better. The rear camera is surprisingly good BTW.

Awh me too! I'm gonna keep it in a bank locker or something after it goes bad. Too many memories are associated with it and btw it's still my primary device after 4 years and still works like a charm.
Front Camera:
Someone else (who has dark skin) had the same problem. The issue, I'm pretty sure, is that the software is trying to lighten up his face. It's made by a Chinese company where people want white skin.
You can see in the photo where his face is not the subject, if looks fine.
Nope my room mate id dark. But photos are excellent. These photos looks garbage. Defective piece for sure
