Currently using k20 pro, and front cam is not that bad. Yep lacking behind in area of dynamic range, but details on face are damn good.

Mine was pretty bad too... Just like his. But after installing an OTA update it got way better!
The camera earlier had a beauty setting in the form of levels... 0 to 6 I think and it was absolute shit. I was so disappointed.
Now that's gone, now I have to choose each facial feature and use the slide to control the level... No overall level represented by numbers like earlier. Its pretty good now.

If you're a UA-camr, just remember...... extensive streaming and video exporting can heat the phone up but for extensive max graphics settings gaming.....it's amazing.
I mean the Snapdragon 855 is like the next to the best chipset for mobile(the best being SD 865).
So I'd recommend it 100% cuz I've been using it for 7 months and it's just amazing.

I just got this phone and all I can say is...go for it guys. It's incredibly good. I am a flagship consumer since 5 years ago and this phone feels just like a flagship. And for this price....is unbeatable.
Most UA-camrs didn't criticise the camera.. they actually praised it... Maybe there is a defect in your phone camera

Someone else (who has dark skin) had the same problem. The issue, I'm pretty sure, is that the software is trying to lighten up his face. It's made by a Chinese company where people want white skin.
You can see in the photo where his face is not the subject, if looks fine.

You have to remove the plastic protector coving the pop up front facing camera when you first use the phone.

Since phones have started to ditch the notch and missing LEDs for notifications. Perhaps some phone manufacturers could include a software feature that wound just glow a small section of the screen itself in different colours to give out notifications instead. And have a shifting algorithm built in that shifts the area of LEDs that glow to prevent uneven screen burn.

He took every picture with insane light behind his head. Instead of turning towards the sun so his face is lit, he turned front facing camera toward sun. It was just blinded lens.
Maybe the manufacturer isn't checking enough for quality when they finish the cameras

The problem with Xiaomi is their QA is shit. This is why they can sell device so cheap. So basically buyers are in for a Russian roulette. They calculated and its worth to just replace the parts if any customer complain, rather then invest a lot in testing like Samsung and Huawei.

2021 and this phone still performs like a beast for me. I even play genshin impact with customized setup (60fps) using this phone. Although, I need blackshark funcooler pro to fix the heating issue during high performance setup otherwise medium setup will do.

Hey buddy, i bought my k20pro phone in 2020. It's 2023 about a 50days more then perfect 3 yrs after i first used it. I finally grew out of it but it was my first phone, got in 10th grade. Now i am finally going to college. It was a great memory. Definitely had all i could ask from a phone
