Hi Jewel, I'm having trouble with this poncho. I've never made anything except blanket, scarves and dish rags. I did my ch 103, connected to other end with slip knot. Ch 1, skp first st, hdc in each st around to beginning. How many total hdc should be in that row? I've frogged four times cause I'm not ending with 2 hdc to slst to bottom of beginning ch 6.
The pattern also spreads out quickly like a virus. And when it came out being called that it caught on like a virus. It's originally called German Shells.
I have completed the poncho, Thank you for your tutorial.
This is adorable. I love ponchos to use up leftover yarn. Not just scraps, but amounts that are large enough to make pretty colorful designs, etc.
Love your tutorial!

The pattern is available down below in the comments.
Beautiful how many balls of yarn I would love to make one for myself
I think since I did three colors, I used less than a skein of yarn of each color.
@@CrochetJewel thanks you
Im not changing colors. On round 4 (16.16) i sl st in first dc. Do i ch 2 then dc in same st, then dc in next 9 dc?

How many large loops on each side?
Please go to the pattern link below
If i want to do to my daughter 9 years shud i do use 103 chain
I dont have a pattern for a child but you could try that or go down hook size
Try chaining 79, or the next odd number
Does your pattern include a chart?
No chart, it’s a written pattern
I don't see the written pattern for this poncho. Where do I find it?
It’s not free, for sale on Etsy store

Is there a pattern for a 4 point ?
Sorry I don’t
How many yards do I need?
I used three different yarns, about half skein of each
Can you make this using a finer wool
Yes but it would just make it lighter and thinner
Would i still make the same number of chains or would i need to increase.thank you for your prompt reply
I don’t have another pattern so you would have to
Yes that's what i'm doing now in a childs size
Why called virus poncho. Why virus. Thank you
these patterns are named after viruses because they eat up yarn quickly
The pattern also spreads out quickly like a virus. And when it came out being called that it caught on like a virus. It's originally called German Shells.
