    thank you so much sir .because of people like you the music never dies.of course ustad Ji s music will never die but we do not get to hear these forgiven pieces of his music .because they are sooooo rare.so thank you so much for sharing this rare recording that will bring joy and peace to the listener.

    this is a deep and meaningful addition to Khansahib's exposition of Chandranandan. If I understand correctly, he created the raga on the spur of the moment at someone's request, and then subsequently started to explore its depths. Thus, a fascinating look into his process.

      It is indeed, Rich. This particular performance of Chandranandan is unlike the others and seems quite reminescent of Darbari Kanada while most of the ones we hear are more simular to Jogkauns with an added Re (2nd).

    This doesn't sound like Ali Akbar Khan saheb, the Sarode is tuned unusually low, and the style is very different.

      Pandit Aushutosh Bhattacharya, a Gurubhai of Kishan maharaj and disiple of Kanthe maharaj.
