I wish he pooped in his sand bath (he will pee there) as it would make spot cleaning possible... he even poops where he stores his food. I have to remove everything and ruin his tunnel system weekly to clean up his mess. I feel bad.

People in USA: you can find lots of this stuff at your local co-op (you can Google "local co-op"), also Walmart has started carrying some of the Rosewood brand stuff (including the dried herbs!). Tori, this is an excellent video! I've been feeding herbs for a long time, but I've been wondering about the flowers. I'm planning on going to the co-op this week to see what they have! I've also looked at some online retailers so that I can order anything they don't have at the co-op. 👍 Daisy says hi! 🌼

"Good" fat or bad doesn't matter to a dog's body. Store-bought pet toothpaste is fine and you often won't need to brush at all if you give a quality VOHC-approved dental chew every night e.g. Purina Dentalife.

I just found your videos and realized that my hamsters tank isn’t big enough. I have a Robo dwarf hamster and I thought a 20 gal tank was fine, I didn’t realize it was too small! I feel awful, I just want her to be happy and healthy! I have to wait about 2 months until my birthday to get her a 40 gallon breeder tank. I’ve been binging your vids and thank you so much! I use herbs and flowers 2-3 times a week as an in between for their main food :) my hamsters don’t like peppermint leaves so at least that’s not a concern for me 🙈 but they love chamomile at the moment

Today I was bath bonding with my hamster and put toys etc in there she was very soppy to me and climbed on me and let me hold/pet her and hand feed her I've only had her for 2 weeks ! You have helped me so much thank you so much x

My hamster doesn't like herbs- So that one time I bought food for my hamster (that died 2 yrs ago), it's like a mix of a lot of healthy foods for hamsters, I put it in her plate thing (forgot the word) I saw a herb. I was like: OMG! EAT IT! (I wasn't loud tho) (I sead that in my mind ) Then I gave it to her and she was like: Nuh, uh! I ain't eating this! She put it in her mouth for a second....and then she "spit" it out......
Since my hamster has passed, my mom won’t let me get another hamster just because i “have too many pets”! I only have two cats and some fish like 😤. That’s nothing! Plus all we would need to buy is bedding and the hamster because we have everything that u need for one.. not cool 😂😂

I’m a Chicken nugget hi! I own a gerbil and yes you can give them herbs! Not all the same herbs that are safe for hamsters are safe for gerbils tho 🙂 I’ve done some online research to find answers to which ones are okay and which are not, raspberry leaves and dandelion leaves seem to be a safe choice so far.

A while back I saw you mention Nature’s Salad, which I was able to find at PetsMart and Amazon. It smells so good an my hamster really loves it! He gets so excited when I sprinkle the herbs every week he usually comes right out and starts foraging for them right away!

Yes! Here within the UK I actually grabbed two packs of timothy hay and rose petal by rosewood from p@h (pets at home) today, i hadn't seen any youtube videos but I knew rose petal and timothy hay were definitely safe for hamsters... smell really good! He doesn't seem a fan of the rose petals just yet, but I think it's his first ever time encountering them so it may be a time thing. I guess I can just add them in every so often when they lose their smell to make the cage scented nicely. But will look into others for my hammy!
I am growing Rosemary and Mint on my porch, and I have given small sprigs that I pruned from the plants to my hamster. I don't prune the plants a lot, so she never gets a whole lot of the plant material. But she does like them and runs towards them as soon as she smells them. So I'm willing to bet it's safe. Hamsters are smart about what they eat usually from my experience.
I mean I wouldn't exactly go by that when it comes to domesticated animals, just like onions aren't safe for dogs but when my dog was a puppy she dug them up and ate them causing herself to get sick lol A wild animal on the other hand would be different.
@@VictoriaRaechel well, if they made my hamster sick, she probably wouldn't continue eating them every time I put them in there for more than a year. I know she actively avoids the little green triangular pieces in her hamster food like they were the plague. Still can't figure out why. I usually just gather those up and feed them to my mice.
I have found at walmart you can get this thing called natures salad for hamsters and mice its just a bag of dried herbs and flowers for actually pretty cheap

So that one time I bought food for my hamster (that died 2 yrs ago), it's like a mix of a lot of healthy foods for hamsters, I put it in her plate thing
(forgot the word) I saw a herb. I was like:
OMG! EAT IT! (I wasn't loud tho)
(I sead that in my mind )
Then I gave it to her and she was like:
Nuh, uh! I ain't eating this!
She put it in her mouth for a second....and then she "spit" it out......

Since my hamster has passed, my mom won’t let me get another hamster just because i “have too many pets”! I only have two cats and some fish like 😤. That’s nothing! Plus all we would need to buy is bedding and the hamster because we have everything that u need for one.. not cool 😂😂

Imagine if there a herb that was like catnip for hamsters. Would be cute, but my hamster would absolutely demolish her cage and wheels (she still does without it)

I’m a Chicken nugget hi! I own a gerbil and yes you can give them herbs! Not all the same herbs that are safe for hamsters are safe for gerbils tho 🙂 I’ve done some online research to find answers to which ones are okay and which are not, raspberry leaves and dandelion leaves seem to be a safe choice so far.

A while back I saw you mention Nature’s Salad, which I was able to find at PetsMart and Amazon. It smells so good an my hamster really loves it! He gets so excited when I sprinkle the herbs every week he usually comes right out and starts foraging for them right away!

Yes! Here within the UK I actually grabbed two packs of timothy hay and rose petal by rosewood from p@h (pets at home) today, i hadn't seen any youtube videos but I knew rose petal and timothy hay were definitely safe for hamsters... smell really good! He doesn't seem a fan of the rose petals just yet, but I think it's his first ever time encountering them so it may be a time thing. I guess I can just add them in every so often when they lose their smell to make the cage scented nicely. But will look into others for my hammy!

I am growing Rosemary and Mint on my porch, and I have given small sprigs that I pruned from the plants to my hamster. I don't prune the plants a lot, so she never gets a whole lot of the plant material. But she does like them and runs towards them as soon as she smells them. So I'm willing to bet it's safe. Hamsters are smart about what they eat usually from my experience.
I mean I wouldn't exactly go by that when it comes to domesticated animals, just like onions aren't safe for dogs but when my dog was a puppy she dug them up and ate them causing herself to get sick lol A wild animal on the other hand would be different.
@@VictoriaRaechel well, if they made my hamster sick, she probably wouldn't continue eating them every time I put them in there for more than a year. I know she actively avoids the little green triangular pieces in her hamster food like they were the plague. Still can't figure out why. I usually just gather those up and feed them to my mice.

I have found at walmart you can get this thing called natures salad for hamsters and mice its just a bag of dried herbs and flowers for actually pretty cheap
