- Slight warning: I do swear quite a lot in this one...one word "lockdown"
This was filmed a while back when I was still in lockdown. I needed something to do and one of my ewaste contacts said he had all of these phones that "worked fine".
So I bought them all for $250. All 25 of them.
Here is an hour and a half long video where it starts off good and then just gets lazy at the end. I lost the spark to finish this video as this job lot just sucks big time. Job Lot 7 and 8 are done and filmed and I was ready to scrap this completely. But, I finished it off and here it is.
I hope you enjoy this for what it is and I promise 7 and 8 will be better.
Be good people!

This job lot is pretty much garbage.
I was in lockdown during the initial filming and thus I swear like a butt cheek on a stick.
Job Lot 7 and 8 are coming and are way better than this horrific mess.
In your opinion, how do you rate repairability of each smartphone brands in your olpersonal experience doing these jobs?
I really love to hear from you in the next video!!
Smoorez , somebody has been waiting 2 years for a reply man , give it to them...
These videos are very interesting pls continue making them!
I love this channel bro, I love your rants. I enjoy all your wish product videos. I sit here waiting for your next videos all the time lol 😂🤣
I've been waiting forever for this. Pls continue making these they're super interesting.
Hopefully you'll make your money back in UA-cam revenue😁 thanks for the long video mate
Nah these videos don't attract a large audience, which is fine. I do this sort of stuff all the time so why not record it for people to see.
@@SMOOREZ never stop, they are amazing.
Love your channel and find the in depth videos very interesting, Keep up the good work. Look forward to each video 😀
wHOOOOO seeing that old HTC powered up and on the home screen was SUPER nostalgic for me. My first phone was an HTC Rezound back in, like, 2011. Gave me my love of digital flip clocks. I got it taken away permanently for continuously playing Minecraft Pocket Edition Alpha in English class, LOL.
Looking forward to the other 2 now that you have mentioned them. Love these videos.
I gotta say these videos are really great for "educational" purposes because you can easly learn how to repair your stuff
Buying ewaste takes me back to when I worked for Corporate HP (govt section for the FSD and USCIS contracts). After releasing their tablet, it flopped and they were selling to employees first at a crazy discount. I ended up buying 30 tablets from them for 200$ Sold 20 of em for 50$ a piece, and the rest I parted out for a massive battery bank, and some other projects. Fun times.
Oh man, I still have my Touchpad! It was my 12th birthday present. I love that thing. So cool and slick for its era. My dad somehow got his hands on two coupons that slashed the price to $70/each and he picked up two of the whopping four our local Staples had gotten in. The thing never dies; batteries in both of them are still good after 10 years and the thing had an active modding community (still might) up through Android Oreo. What I'd really like, though, is one of those 300(?)-odd Touchpad GO engineering samples that popped up online a few years ago...
I really enjoy these videos!! Super chill and relaxing!
That part around the beginning where you looked at that Xiaomi was fucking hilarious, thanks for the video mate
I love this series, please make more!!!!
I really regret selling my Huawei years back. They have a program here (South Africa) where they regularly do common repairs on devices for a stupid cheap price. I'm not sure if they do it overseas though, so that might be an option, cause you have guaranteed quality and they can struggle to remove the glass :3
Anyways, love the videos. Generally watch it as background while doing something else, but will occasionally look at the screen and just watch and enjoy. Thank you and keep doing it, you're awesome at it!
edit: Clearly didn't finish the video, the battery installation seems very easy though!
I've been bingewatching these while really sick in bed. Such a good channel, been looking forward to whatever you upload next!
Well it's Saturday 8am,lockdown here in the south of Chile.
And here I am,just enjoying the life ... looking this guy repairing some old phones.
Thanks for the fun,bro.
i like these videos , it is very interesting to watch , keep up the great work
I love this guys attitude "I'm bored and needed something todo... Even though it was $250" - That's the attitude lol.
Id love to put my hands on those LGs.
They arent worth a penny, but those are kinda nostalgic to me.
just love your vids keepem commin
32:50 thats literally my huawei phone. mine sometimes charges but then when i do something it says like i have 3%
3%?
That metal disk on the ZTE is a magnet mount.
Man, that Xiamoi... I think that's salt water corrosion.
I had one of those HTC Desire HD's
(called "Inspire" in the US) it was built like a brick and ran 2.3 out of the box.
One of only 2 HTC's I have ever owned (other being Aria which I still love).
I had a laugh when you said "a reasonable swim"
9:04 Those “Junk Phones” im extremely interested in and actively look for them.
The reason being their incredibly interesting.
I enjoyed it!
You was playing (talking about the S1) but dead ass you right!
Also, you can use a multimeter to test batteries and other internal components. Just a suggestion to make it easier to see if the parts are viable.
Nice video. I had no idea that the Xperia Z1 is that easy to open and change the battery. My dads old Xperia Z1 Compact needs a new battery. It has started to lift the display and the backside is a bit curved. Still works fine when connected to charger or it will be in reboot loop. I guess the battery is doing weird stuff and the phone wont have it.
7:54 This is a LG L7 II (the I's stand for 2nd gen)
Indeed, it looks like an l7 ii gen single chip.
Yes this is huawei not something LG
The metal thing on the ZTE is for magnet holders.
3:21 yes, and it looks similar to the Z3 and the M4, the cheaper "Lite" version of the Z3
Yeah those Alcatel and a few cheap Huawei were like 30 dollar prepaid phones in the U.S. too.
you should try putting the brightness all the way up on the s8, because something similar happened on my aunts phone, and it looked fine
I used to have one of those HTC desire phones not that long ago actually, back before I had a job and could afford nice things like my galaxy s10
59:20 I had a lg g4 that started bootlooping after a year and a half. However the referb I got in 2016 from att is still working. After that went to a v20. Was a good phone on nougat. Oreo was a killer with it being a daily. Aaaand then the screen burned in really bad. Like 5 mins on an ebay screen mid brightness and jump to discord and it would still be there lol.
me: i just want an s1,2,3,4,5,6,7and9
smoorez: see good looking s1, nah i think i will trow out
me: .... give me one if you don't want the phone
I got a Samsung Galaxy 5 at JB Hifi recently-a old Telstra prepaid phone that I’m just using as a music player-it’s 3G only of course for $9.
Is it the one from 2010 or is it the S5 from 2014
You shoul do a review of the working devices
If you think fixing a z1 is fun, imagine putting a custom OS on it, it took me so long to figure out

I’ve got a Aspera A42.
The real question after watching this is: Is it fine?
What app do you use for database?
What app do you use for your phone list
Same for me, I’m at home I I need to do something 😂, in 2 days I will receive 10 phones from UK and they are 3 Sony phones in there so I will see if they will work.
1:04:21 yeah I have 3 of these 😄, I think I got it as a gift with replacement battery for Huawei Y6 prime 2018
I had an Alcatel Pixie Glitz for a minute. It was alright given that it cost $30.
What is that app you use for your phones¿
What’s the name of the app that he uses to categorize all of the phones he has
Well. Im happy the alcatel works. Idk why, but I am.
i got a zte ad in a zte section
I have a lot of that small tool if u guys want to buy it i got like 3 box that i got from china every time order phone part they put it in there..
Watching this i have a question, mainly: who and why would leave the sim card in a broken phone and throw that away? Aside form personal data going around (and this would be a more than enough important reason to not do it in my book), the phone number?
I don't understand, really.
Some of these are probably lost/stolen phones. That might explain the SIM card still being there.
old simcards are pretty damn useless anyways
10:53, It isn't, its a Ace II.
Also, the Sony Xperia you had is Danish.
25:17 the c*m storage phone
But videos is awesome tho bro
23:53 what is it then?
What phone do you use every day?

If I had a whole lot of cheapo phones I would fix them and give them to charity for not so fortunate people to enjoy :)
most of the Huawei phones have wierd battery problems and the batteries are so bad quality
no the imac isnt bad . so max the ram get an ssd install catalina using dosdude1s patcher and it is a fantastic machine for basic web content and some video playing :)
Its bad for 100 bucks and then trying to move it on for a bit more, plus putting parts in it. Not worth it. Besides I have so many laptops and PCs that can be used for the exact same thing.
@@SMOOREZ I know at least in my area putting a cheap 255 gb ssd 8gb ram mojave patch or catalina voujf flop it for 250 300 not sure about on AUS though
It used DDR2 and not DDR3 so max ram was 4GB. it wasnt worth it
@@SMOOREZ olahh so late 06 or 07 year 32bit EFI
Swearing doesn't bother me one bit, after all I do watch Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, they swear like troopers.
The HTC Desire HD is pretty much the same phone as the HD2 it is just the android variant of it yes i has better SOC in there but overal it is a great replacement of the HD2, i have them both such great phones. i collect phones just as you do haha. Dont care for sony next time man... those things are awfull, i dont accept repair requests on them hahha
HTC HD2 is a pretty nice phone, even Ubuntu 10.10 runs pretty well on it. I've even tried to run a Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 server on it and it ran decently. HTC Desire HD is a nice looking phone too but sadly I don't have one in my collection, though I have a Desire Z from the same year.
Android Go on the galaxy s 2. Might be a serviceable phone.
39:49 me with a s4 i9505:first time?
1:34 it's that an s10 or s10 EEe
S10
By the way, Mi is pronounced as "me", the same way you pronounce it as part of "Xiaomi".
Shame that Sony makes their phones so horrible to fix. I have multiple Sony MiniDisc players and those are extremely easy to disassemble and repair
It was Little the same as Norwegian
I have HUAWEI P20 PRO. And Huawei is the best phone in the world
how the LG broke opps I thrown my phone on snow
Can you do one more shoe review
Nope. I am finished with that chapter in my life. It was very dangerous doing that and I simply don't enjoy sneaker reviews anymore.
@@SMOOREZ fair enough these vids are fire too it's good that you're doing something you like now
Say "zte" not "zedte"!
smoorez, use the bathroom.
mmmmm 200ish ausie veiws

he sounds like he is drunk
Nope, just at that point of filming I was frustrated with lockdown and the fact I spent 250 bucks on a shit heap of stuff :/
Also he's Australian, that's how we sound.
