He is so right about Russia at that time! "I don't think they are quite ready for us yet"
He was a very intelligent person!

What a nice, gracious, down to earth quietly spoken guy. It's really sad that he died. He was a brilliant singer and an equally brilliant showman. Sadly missed.

FM is a lot more serious during this interview than I'm used to seeing. That being said, everything about FM is soooooo sexy.

well, yes he was not directly from Iran but he was of iranic origin cause of his zorastrian/persian roots. You see we have some persians(diaspora) outside Iran. The arabs invaded Persia(sassanidian empire) about 1400 years ago many persians had 2 escape from the war, most of them came to India (Gujrat) and etablished a persian community. Still indians call them 4 Parsees cause of their persian ancestry. Parsee = Pars = Fars = persian. So he was racially, ethnically persian. But from India :D

  • @juliact

He just seems so cool here. He never seemed to really warm to Molly. I wonder why. Molly was a favourite interviewer to a lot of stars as he was so kind and positive in his commentary. He had some hilarious interviews with Rod Stewart and Elton John back in the day. They were great friends. Elton and Rod had female pet names as well and used to stir Molly up endlessly. Seems like that would be right up Fred's alley, and Fred was good friends with Elton. On the surface they would have a lot in common - gay guys who were in the "closet" right in front of everyone. They went to all the same clubs back in the day. Just different personalities I guess.

Well a lot of fans contrive meaning into things about stars that are private, Freddie was great at keeping things he didn;t want talked about a closed matter. In other things, he coyly broach subjects, just brushing certain topics, ie; personal life. I will say it is obvious in this interview he is closed to the interviewer, because the press in Britain and Austraila were very harsh and rather conservative and were more interested in his sex life than his music.

If you somewhere find how Freddie came at parties so - you need to know it is just on stage freddies persona,P.Freestone said ,Freddie was too shy,and insecure but he played his role flamboyant, and arrogant persona so when he went at party ,he just played what people wanted from him, just between two-or four closets friends he was himself-and Freestone said at that parties was never sex orgy,or something like that,If Freddie wanted have sex ,he did it in privacy

Haha, How Interviews have changed with time!! I mean, the guy with the hat was caught looking at the monitor, looking to the other side (Not at Freddie)You do not see that today because of editing and god knows what. Well, The background music is loud and not good for the interview, but still it's always good to see Freddie, no matter what.
