Good video John, practicing at 30bpm is really where the best work is done and I’ve found really pays dividends when learning what that feels like and how to subdivide at that tempo. Also such a good topic and exercise to spend time figuring out what it sounds and feels like to be in front or behind the best. keep the video coming, appreciated.
Thank's john, really enjoying the videos! I didnt really understand the articilation part what do you mean buy riding the flow, like I like to explane that the tounging is more of a way to disturb the flow and then let it continue than a way to renew an additional flow, is that what you mean?
I meant that the tongue shouldn't ever get in the way of the sound. As Adolph Herseth famously said, tonguing should be 95% vowel and 5% consonant. In this way, I always think of the tongue "riding" on the air.

Definitely. Thanks Paul!
It's nice to know that even pros can accidentally fall ahead or behind
We're all human after all, right? :)
