Thanks for the great video! Heading to Sao Miguel next week and have been on the fence about which hot springs to go to. Curious to see if all the construction is over at Terra Nostra. How was the bottom of the lagoon, is it paved and smooth like a pool? Also, did you buy tickets in advance? The ticket office link on their website doesn't work. Thanks again for the great video!

Awesome, we're sure you love it! Glad you enjoyed the video as well.
It is a paved bottom but when we were there it was covered in leaves. Given the surroundings, that's probably the case often. It was soft and enjoyable though!
We just purchased the tickets upon arrival!

Absolutely loved this video! Can’t believe the water left that color on your skin. Kinda looked like a tan. Haha
We are really debating taking a trip to the Azores this year. Did you go to any other islands?
Thank you so much for sharing!

We did only visit Sao Miguel Island but we did so much more than just what was in this video, we have two more being posted this weekend and next!
We went for four days and it was the highlight of a really great Portugal trip - definitely recommend!!!

Congratulations -- you got second place on the podium in the "How-To-Completely-Misread/Mispronounce-Portuguese-Words" competition. But don't feel bad, you weren't far behind another couple. The first place so far goes to a North American young lady (clearly of Hispanic background, though) who, whilst visiting the grounds of the Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace) in Porto, called it "Palácio Cristobál" -- I mean, the name"Cristobál" doesn't even exist in Portuguese! Not trying to nitpick here but I would love to know how you go from "Salto do Cabrito" to "Salto do Cristo"...
Now, in all seriousness, that was a really great vlog, witty and good-humored, well filmed -- you captured well the beauty of the place despite the adverse weather conditions. Keep it up!
By the way, the murky-brown color of the water of that dipping pond at the Terra Nostra Park is due to the high mineral (mostly iron) content in the water and not because of any "volcanic mud" as suggested.
    Happy days. So long.

Haha yeah we definitely still need to work on our Portuguese! In fairness, the Salto do Cabrito comment was more misremembering the name than a mispronunciation. We always keep practicing though!
      Appreciate the kind words!!!
