Over 2 birdies per round for scratch. Making hay on the par 5's. Staying out of trouble on the rest

Love the stat that for a 5 HCP they will hit the green 50% of the time from 147 yards. I suggested to my coach that I wanted to hit the green more often and than not from 140 yards - my aim is to get down to 5 - and he pulled up PGA stats (the least accurate player only hits the green from 150 yards 58% of the time) and suggested I was aiming to high and being unreasonable, clearly Arcos disagrees!

Haha, the edit. I assume the first shot was horrific. Yeah, it's that time of the season :D

Thought the same lol 😂 he should have made a joke about it and say ‘that divot that just magically appeared was definitely not my first attempt that was totally horrible’

Stats don't forget are heavily skewed by American golfers. Fair weather golfers on wide open courses. Keep it simple, hit fairways, hit greens, no silly mistakes and scratch is fairly straightforward

    A putt that is 50% make-able for a PGA Pro is 8' For a scratch it's 6' and for a 10 hcp it's around 4'.
Shooting at flags for a 10 hcp brings huge risks and almost zero reward.
Aim for center of green, two putts, par.
Also, bunkers, water hazards, etc. are not on the course to penalize bad shots. They penalize greedy shots. Do not fall for the scam.
