This event has probably the worst mechanics in quite some time: -Escort NPCs who clearly don't care a whole lot about their lives -Clunky DP spam towers to calm them down (they are still trying to run into a hole) -Mobs trying to eat more of your DP -NPC boulder-bowling -max DP cap because everyone loved that in c12 and then the boss stage adds global debuffs and RNG enemy spawns.

The only type of boss who stands any sort of chance would have to be so ridiculously tanky that it'd have to basically be invincible, and these mechanics are the only way you can't just brute force it. Imagine making ops so OP that you have to design all future content around it.
this is so true and I even want to add something to the list those rocks... I was trying to get the medal after some retries and when I finally beat the stage with the NPCs alive somehow one of those wood thingy breaks at the last millisecond (and that is just a theory cause it doesn't even look like it broke so I'm still confused as to how I didn't get the badge) basically there was defender in front of one of the rocks and I also thought maybe the block debuff made it so the rock could get past the defender and break the wood but it's only a -2 block debuff so it still doesn't make sense so I ended up wasting all my sanity and hopefully in a few hours when I retry I get the badge. I even asked for help in the official discord server and no one was really able to tell why was it happening so if it doesn't get fixed I will record everything and upload it to show it as proof that I'm not lying
5:50 The timing is much easier if you reverse the order. Deploy the extra unit early (I used Courier) directly south of the hole before the rats get there. Then you just time Spot as soon as you see the rats leak past, so he is guaranteed safe from the debuff. Instead of deploying Spot first and the extra unit second.

Stall the last 1 or 2 enemies, cover the holes at the last second, block the 3 top boulders if you even need to. Honestly a really easy medal, if a bit obtrusive.
@@tempota7792 Last enemy deployed is the bottom archer, not the top art swordsman, so you can just kill the archer with whatever if you dps well the top lane (i used Jaye plus Meteorite S2), no need to keep the Puller hole open
this event, this stage was honestly very first time in Arknights since game released i was so close to saying "fuck this game, it's not worth it". I really hate how annoying everything is, how randomly enemies spawn, how fck boulders spawn non stop and have even splash damage, how even normal enemies damage civilians from range, all the debuffs, you have to have eyes everywhere because something random will at any moment drop your HP down and you have to restart the stage. If this is HE-8, i have doubts i will actually care enough to first time have uncleared event
Thanks Kyo for the explanation of the mechanic. It helped a lot to understand it and see when he does the block count debuff. In the end I placed my medic defender at approx. 21 killed enemies a little bit higher to defend civilians a little bit earlier because they had little bit different positioning and died otherwise. I keep Myrtle at OG spot for 6:03 placement just before the debuff. It helps hold the fast dude so the timing for the 2/3 block feels less stressful right as the debuff is cast Probably negligible for preventing leak and may affect topside timing slightly, but should not hurt

yeah man it’s not good for your health if you play too much personally I don’t think Arknights is very productive thing to do all day (managing base, farming missions, avoiding sanity overflow, sending clues, etc)

I assumed I need to repair each of the 10 holes once, but then had no idea how to break the one in middle left. So I guess I am completely wrong? Edit: Looks like you just need to have all the holes repaired at the end of the level
After throwing myself against a brick wall for a while, I finally decided "H*ck this level and H*ck whoever designed it! I'm going to Kyostin!" I hate this level so much. It's artificially difficult for absolutely no reason. The breaking point was when I, in my opinion, was doing everything right only for the civilians to somehow send up dead anyway through no fault of my own.
Same here. It's not as gut bustingly hilarious as Midget Splattering in Ideal City or Gravity Free Bullying in Line Trail, but it's definitely refreshing and novel. Plus the amount of salt coming out of the community that can feed the entire human race is just delicious.
Dont you have to make sure all the holes are covered when the stage ends to get the medal? Or do all holes only need to be repaired once? Bc Kyo left a lot of them wide open without warning about them at all.
My auto is stable too (granted I only did like a stamina refresh worth of tries to test it since I'm not going to farm here). As long as you don't do things that can cause the auto to be confused like frame perfect deploy/kill and have no frame drop, it should be stable.
The auto deploy gets messed up if the boss walks through any of your slow fields. It can cause civilians to stop at areas that are unblockable and then they eat boulders until they die@@alifakbar4232
Only RNG things are slowing the boss so the entire timing is out of sync, or not blocking the bottom randomly summoned enemy. You already need to block the top boulders anyway, so plop another self healing DMG dealer in the bottom lane and it's super GG.

I thik this stage is the definition of the word clusterf*ck. I don't have the slightest desire to "understand" the stage mechanics, or what's happening on the screen. This event has to be the lowest point for Arknights so far. Oh, and playing the rerun, the enemies attack with _slightly_ different timings just to mess up the first part. Thank a log HG!

This is one of the worst events in the game, I can't beat this stage even with guides. I'm honestly going to give up and just farm HE-7 until this shitty event ends, because whew, few mechanics are worse than these. If I had to decide to keep playing or drop the game by playing this event, I would definitely quit the game. It's not a fun event. Also hope Laterano explodes or something lmao

I rather like the puzzle aspect, of the boulders and pits. It's not a hard stage by any means, but at least activates my neurons. Same reason I liked the ultimate stages in Lone Trail N, EX, and S. I love playing w balls. S-5 was particularly good, bc those balls are as much of a detriment to the enemies as us, and without gravity, everything can be ping-ponged to hell and back. Anything that involves more than just fighting is a pretty good mechanic imo.
@@tempota7792 not really. It's just trial and error, and due to the shitty dp cap, if you place any ops wrong you lose. If you have any slow field operators, the civilians will stop in the wrong places and unblockable rocks will eviscerate them. It's not good at all.
I wish I can fight Arturia in this stage so that I can kill the beach. I've never thought that I would hate an Arknights operator more than W. Even W is comparably sane than Arturia. W will commit crimes because it's necessary for her goals. Arturia on the other hand will drive people to their deaths for her twisted entertainment. I can never forgive her! She doesn't deserve any sort of redemption. I'm glad that she's one of the worst operator gameplay-wise in CN.

To note if you have any sort of slow-field that the gardener walks through it will mess up these strategies, it changes where he stops

I cleared this stage pretty easily, but then I saw you had a frigging medal that requires all the holes to be repaired, wow.
