- This is a step by step tutorial which will enable you to create a beautiful wet felted landscape. This includes all the processes involved from laying out the base, creating a picture using merino wool and effect fibres and wet felting the design. All materials for this project and the basic equipment can be purchased as a kit from www.teesdalefelt.co.uk or from my teesdalefelt shop on Etsy. This is a project that is perfect for complete beginners or anyone who would like to refine their wet felting skills. The video lasts about 35 minutes and can be stopped and started at each stage.

What a lovely and helpful tutorial. I love all the layers and combination of fibers, and beautiful effects and depth created. I have wanted to create pictures in felt so this has been so helpful and inspiring! Thankyou!
I so enjoyed watching you and seeing your layout. I’m a veteran felter but have only now moved into “painting with wool” as it’s now referred to. You have a very good “eye” for perspective, something I struggle with. Many thanks for this tutorial!
Hi Barbara. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It was lovely to read especially as you are an experienced felter! Xx
Wonderful tutorial. I'm new to felting and have been wondering about doing landscapes like this. I look forward to seeing you post more.Thank you
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am just about to post a tutorial showing how to make an illuminated resist bowl which you may like to watch. I hope you enjoy creating a landscape!
Lovely finished project and excellent explanation every step of the way. Am a new subscriber and just attempting felting. Your patient and thorough explanation is so helpful for a beginner - an American from the San Francisco Bay Area.❤😊

Thank you so much for your lovely message! I am so pleased my tutorial helped you create your own piece of felt artwork. I spent a wonderful week in San Francisco and love the area. Please say hi to the sea lions. ❤😊 I hope you enjoy future projects. X

This is beautiful! Where do you get the tiny bits from? Can I order online somewhere? Do they have a specific name that I can search on?
Hi . I don't know where you are based but the tiny woollen balls are called nepps. I sell them but they are also available from other retailers online. Best wishes, Claire

How lovely! What did you call the little red pieces from the cellophane bag. Is that something that people sell? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your lovely comment. The little red woollen balls are called 'nepps'. They are a byproduct of the wool industry. I will list them in my teesdalefelt.co.uk shop if you would like to buy some. Xx
