I don't know if you are aware of this, so I've got a little tweak for you. HiFi-Tuning sells a contact enhancer. I openend my dac and pulled all the connectors. Put the contact enhancer on it and reconnected everything. In my opinion one of the best 20 euros I spent on hifi improvements.
Hi Mike, thanks a lot for the update of the ARES 2. The update of the lid and the rear switch is not subtle I would say. More clarity, loads of detail and better bass reproduction. It is a big step forward, like a new piece of gear. Didn't expect this, enormous value for money! Thanks a lot again!
Hi, I wish you many happy hours with music! And that was just the cover tuning with removing the switch .... :) I always think it's a shame how many music lovers do without the good sound because they can't believe it ... Cheers Mike
Hi, i use it, so what can i say more.. :) with Denafrips Athena its a dream team, hard to top that.. no way in the same price range...watch my other videos :) Cheers Mike
@@headquarteraudio5388 I would love to hear your thoughts on the Kinki EX-P27 with the EX-M7 one day. I really like your reviews and your willingness to tweak things very much.
Good afternoon, I’m currently using a Kinki P27 and the Kinki m7, I am wondering, is it possible to use the m7 to power one channel and another m7 to power a second? My speakers are bi wirable and I want to use each m7 to power one channel each, using the left channel for mid and highs and the right channel for the lows…I was going to use the balanced connection for the mids and highs and the single ended for the lows…please let me know your thoughts on this.
Hi, mixing RCA and XLR can result in different volumes at high/lows... Better buy a better amp with no biamping. You need 4/2x powercabels, RCA and xlr ...invest that in better amp.. maybe a peachtree class d GaN 400 cheers Mike
Hi Mike, do you think the Kinki M7 amp would pair well with my Doge 7 tube dac in preamp mode? I read the Doge 7 dac basically outputs the same as their tube preamp and want to use what I have. I want to use the XLR input on the kinki so my Doge will run all 8 valves instead just 6 in dac mode. I upgraded the tubes with West German Telefunkens and want to get the most out of them and few amps have both XLR inputs and home theatre passthrough. I read Kinki doesn't recommend the use of a tube preamp so am wondering if I should be looking at a different amp or if will work fine? Sounds great already with my solid state Denon AVR 4806 which unfortunately doesn't have balanced inputs
Hi, I would stick to the recommendation from Kinki Studio:) ... if the Pre outputs DC, the EX M7 switches off into protection mode, please write me an email, maybe i have something for you! :) Cheers Mike

Hi everyone. If one decided to use Denafrips Athena as the preamplifier (to match the Terminator Plus balanced output), would it be better to use Denafrips Apollo or Kinki Studio EX-M7 as the power amp (if one is looking for fast, dynamic sound)? What are the sonic differences between these 2 amplifiers? Thanks ^_^

The KLE RCA plugs are some of the best RCA plugs on the market, they use the Eichmann concept, one of the genius in hifi world!!!
Genius, i hope somebody will say that about me soon... :) :) Cheers with your Tempranillo Mike

Does this I sound better then the m1+. The M7 has more capacitors especially a different frequency range mhz

@@headquarteraudio5388 no I’m curious.... I’m asking what’s better but thx
I guess I will wait to see if you post a video comparing both units with music so we can see the difference in sound
