7 years later, the price for that lock is still so outrageous that I prefer to risk my car being stolen. It sells for almost 200 bucks in Germany or UK, and for 400 Dollars in USA and Canada? Absolutely ridiculous. 50 bucks max. That's it.
Agreed that these are overpriced. Not sure what the margins on these things but it would be nice if they could manufacture these at a lower cost and pass those savings to the consumer.
The only other place I have found that sells these is in Germany. I haven't bought from them before, but if you want to try them out, here is a link: bit.ly/2R0DPdo I have also seen a few on eBay but only for certain cars.
Not that I know of. They have 2 versions of the universal one that is supposed to fit most cars but you may need to contact them to know which specific one will fit your car.

Yes. For the model shown, you take your plastic OBDII plug out of the dash and slide it into the included metal bracket. That bracket is then screwed into the dash. Then the metal locking block is slid into the bracket and screwed to it. Then the block slides closed over the screw holes and when the key is removed the whole assembly is locked shut.
The plastic dash doesn't matter in this case because the whole lock is installed around the OBD plug such that it clamps around the OBD plug. Even if you remove the lock from the plastic dash, the port itself is still locked firmly sealing the port from access. Watch the video again and pay attention to how everything is put together one by one.

What about if the thef also own the OBD block key? Are they coded as a normal key or just the same for every devices?
For the lock i showed in the video, there are over 600 key combinations so they would have to buy quite a few sets to have enough keys with them.
Were did u get it from ?
You can find links to them for different makes of vehicles in the video description.
is that any other ways i can get this OBD lock???

Is there one for dodge chargers?
As far as I know, there isn't a specific one for the Dodge charger. One of the universal ones might fit but you have to look into it.
It is no longer available in amazon. Where else can we buy this?

Is this metal device screwed?

Was anybody able to order from Germany to ship to the States?
We ordered from this company and they shipped to Canada so I think they should ship to US too. Check for the one that fits your car.

Is there one for Lexus RX350 ?
I don't believe they make one specially for Lexus but one of the universal ones should work for it.
