I find it emollient but definitely not greasy, long lasting and does not settle into fine lines or get cakey throughout the day - no oxidation - color stays the same. It is so easy to travel with - one of my favorite foundations (the other is also Tom Ford - Traceless Perfecting Foundation)

kim f I don’t use primer consistently, when I do it’s usually the Tom Ford Illuminating Primer. I do use setting powder, very lightly - either the Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Brightening Mosture Powder or Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish - both in compact form. I tried the Osmosis but it’s not a favorite - more the color selection and match than the formulation.
Ann Doucette Do you still have that luminous glow when using the setting powder or do you only set on certain areas? kim f I do - I also use mists to ensure that the finish is not powdery - I use Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator - or Jordan Samuel facial mist - love them both. My skin is dry, fair complexion and mature.

I so agree with you on the position that coconut oil is not evil for everyone. I have grown tired of the growing list of foods that are seen as unhealthy and almost evil to everyone’s body. Like bread. Seriously!!? But I note that drinking lots of alcohol is fine. Strange world we live in!!

Honest to God they all look flawless on you. I finally purchased the Tom Ford recently and it is AMAZING. It is totally worth the money. My only issue is the lightest shade is still a little dark for me so I feel a bit self-conscious about that when I wear it.
I was at a store recently that carried the Tom Ford product line, and had a chance to look at the foundation stick shades. Their shade range for fair skin is not very good. I have fair skin (warm undertone), and the only shade suitable was, "Porcelain," and it was sold out! Although it was a close match, I did feel like it was just a bit too light for me. The next shade up was "Ivory," and it was a little too pink and too dark. Did you get the Porcelain shade?? You must be VERY fair if it was too dark for you! I guess there's a reason the lightest shade was sold out. They only seem to have one fair shade, but, unfortunately, it doesn't suit all. I hope TF expands the shade range at some point. It is definitely a foundation I would be interested in trying.
Michelle Kelly Yes, I got Porcelain. It is pretty close but I can still see a line where it stops. It wouldn’t be a big deal except I hate staining my clothes so I’m not a huge fan of putting a ton of color down my neck. What I’ve done is put some lighter concealer on top in certain areas like the jawline but that kind of ruins the finish. Even so I will continue to buy it because it really is that good. It’s the only one I’ve found recently that doesn’t enhance my texture and dryness.
I am so happy you love it, but I am sorry that you didn't find a good shade. I will say that luxury brands need a LOT of work in their shade ranges for sure. I can only hope they end up extending the line. :(
Mandy Davis MUA After I wrote this it come to me that I could try a little bit of self-tan (duh). Had a sample lying around and it does make a difference. Except the rest of me is still pale. 😂 I’m horrible at self-tanner on my body.

She pulled out Porcelain and Cream. Cream ended up being PERFECT!! It's a fair/warm ivory shade. At the other store I visited, they showed me Porcelain and another shade which was too dark. That bare minerals stick seems to be very divisive people either think it's really good or they hate it. It makes me want to try it. ☺ I think they all looked really nice on you. I feel like you could probably make anything look really nice.
I love your notes idea, I too love foundation and forget what 😊primer I used with what foundation with what powder with what setting spray, so if I have a good makeup day I can't seem to remember why 🤷♀️

Hey! I don’t own any of them besides the westman A foundation sticks. I have shade 1 and 7 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! Such a shame you didn’t get the same experience, though just something I picked up from Gucci westman herself, she gets the brush and swipes it on the stick and then puts it on the skin. Ok I thought to myself nah what’s the difference it’ll be the same things as just swiping it all over my face and buffing it in - IT ISNT please please please try applying it with dipping your brush on the stick first and then buffing it into your skin, I promise you will see such a difference 😊😊 thanks for this review I’m a huge fan of bare minerals so id love to get my hands on that foundation stick now too! I do! I’m Bisque right now and wanted darker for summer but the colors are odd. Next 2 shades up are def a different tone. Your shade wasn’t available to test. Online it looks like it would be too dark, but better tone. On you it looks fine, even when you’re not tan. First world problems 🤔
I’ve been a Bobbi Brown die hard for years! I love the stick, and it has been my everyday foundation for over two years. I just bought the Tom Ford stick this week, and am enjoying it. I haven’t had the Tom Ford long enough to comment, but so far so good. I have combo skin, and enjoy a natural to glowing finish. I always powder my foundation for longevity, especially because I’m combo. I would recommend either! Thanks for your honest content ❤️
I had an idea so many of us want you to do a top 5 series again. I was thinking this time you could add a twist. 5 plus 2. You could select 2 that you recommend highly for mature skin. The 2 could come from the top 5 or be in addition to them if none of your top 5 are your ideals for mature.

Interesting. The Westman Atelier foundation gives me natural glow, while the Bobbi Brown you mention makes my skin extremely oily and give me breakouts.
Alex, same. I love the the WA as well. I must admit though I am of a "certain age". BB breaks up on me, and I do not have oily skin except around the nose. I like how the WA feels on the skin.

Love these chats we have about foundation. I like them all on you, especially the Westman Atelier (lol, mostly because I think that shade might be nice for ME). LOL, I agree it is a blessing that everyone is different, although I wish people were better at choosing words more wisely and thinking about how they would feel and react if they were told some of the stuff they say online to others.

Here I am a few years later, trying to find a new holy grail since it appears the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick has been discontinued. 😢😢😢 I had tried many dozens of foundations over several years, trying to find one that would give me the true medium-to-full coverage I wanted, could hold up to my oily skin (made even more challenging by my warm/humid climate in the summer), and looked natural/skin-like. And that Tom Ford foundation got an A+ in every category, was miles and away the best foundation I’ve ever tried, and actually was less expensive than many other foundations when taking into account the huge amount of product per stick. I remember one particular time when a waitress told me, “OMG, your skin is literally perfect,” while dining outside in the summer, and I had a few hormonal blemishes at the time. I said, “It really isn’t even close to perfect, it’s just amazing foundation. But thank you!” 😅 I’m heartbroken at the loss, and so stressed that it looks like it’s back to the drawing board trying to find another foundation that even comes remotely close to the performance of the Tom Ford. 😔

I really like the Bobbi Brown stick but I have the wrong shade and look like a carrot, LOL! I need to wait for a sale and try it in neutral porcelain. Have you seen the new Pur foundation that includes a doe-foot for concealing? I'd love to see your thoughts on it but I'm highly annoyed that Ulta is only carrying some of the shades and not even each undertone...

I almost always use the Elta MD UV Elements SPF 44 for my sunscreen and I have been using the Beautycounter Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream for months as my moisturizer. :)
I love the concept of stick foundation, but I don’t think they are a good value. Plus, I have dry skin and you’d think cream products would be better but I look cakey.
I so respect your opinions- especially on foundation. I have the Tom Ford and Bare Minerals and rank them as you did. I have samples of the Westman Atelier and just haven’t been able to purchase. I love it some days but it is awful if I have any flakey areas and it’s just finicky. I’m concerned that I wouldn’t use it because of the uncertainty. I do have the Kjaer Weis and I absolutely love it. It’s up there with the Tom Ford.
I love the Tom Ford stick foundation and now have two of them in different colours . The problem I find is choosing the right colour . Due to the pandemic you can’t test it out plus I’m not going into stores right now so been ordering on line . Information and colour swatches especially for undertones seems really hard to find online . Any advice 😘🥰😳
It is definitely a tough time for shade matching for sure. I have often gone on to youtube and searched the color I think may work for me, and then see if the people using it match me close enough to be comfortable ordering.
I think Westman Atelier looked amazing on you when it was freshly applied. Can't speak to the wear time, but without powder, I'm not surprised that people have trouble with it lasting all day. I know Gucci Westman doesn't have a setting powder or a real primer in her line. Maybe those products should be there for some skin types.

I have had oily skin all my life and now that I am older (63)my skin is still oily, just not as oily. I do have a fitbit. I actually really like it. It helps track the things I care alot about like exercise and sleep. LOL And I like that I can see text messages and calls when I am working and don't have my phone on me. :)
I think they all looked fantastic on you! How do they feel on your skin? They don't look heavy on your skin but I envision they would feel heavy. I like that you say they are great for travel that would then get me to thinking of that as their main use but also realize I have to play with things at home before I travel with them.
I just ordered the BM original complexion rescue and hope it lives up to the hype! If it does you know I’m buying the stick formula!! New to your channel and I love it due to your taste in glowy beautiful skin and foundation! Maybe you can do a spf 🧴 video for some that are tinted and non for on their own or under makeup. I agree with kim f, every product you use looks beautiful on you. I know it's not technically a stick foundation but I did love the Kjaer Weis foundation on you. So much so that of course I ordered it and CANNOT wait until it arrives. I know that you said it did remind you of the Tom Ford stick foundation so I think I'll hold off trying that one until I see how the KW works on my skin. Thanks for all your videos!!! P.S. The TF looks great on your beautiful face, Mandy! However, I have dry, mature skin with rather deep forehead lines and it settled into them and around my nose all day...not cute!
I love the Bare Minerals. I have the two lightest shades. I have to use my hands to warm it up. I have the driest skin ever so it's hard to get foundations to mesh with my skin. The Bare Minerals is one of the few that look good all day.

Obviously, she wasn't very familiar with the shade range because I did find my perfect shade!! I'm so glad I had a chance to go to Nordstrom, otherwise, I wouldn't have known. I'm so happy to have found a shade that matches perfectly! : )
That bare minerals stick seems to be very divisive people either think it's really good or they hate it. It makes me want to try it. ☺ I think they all looked really nice on you. I feel like you could probably make anything look really nice.

Hey! I don’t own any of them besides the westman A foundation sticks. I have shade 1 and 7 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! Such a shame you didn’t get the same experience, though just something I picked up from Gucci westman herself, she gets the brush and swipes it on the stick and then puts it on the skin. Ok I thought to myself nah what’s the difference it’ll be the same things as just swiping it all over my face and buffing it in - IT ISNT please please please try applying it with dipping your brush on the stick first and then buffing it into your skin, I promise you will see such a difference 😊😊 thanks for this review I’m a huge fan of bare minerals so id love to get my hands on that foundation stick now too!

I do! I’m Bisque right now and wanted darker for summer but the colors are odd. Next 2 shades up are def a different tone. Your shade wasn’t available to test. Online it looks like it would be too dark, but better tone. On you it looks fine, even when you’re not tan. First world problems 🤔
I’ve been a Bobbi Brown die hard for years! I love the stick, and it has been my everyday foundation for over two years. I just bought the Tom Ford stick this week, and am enjoying it.
I haven’t had the Tom Ford long enough to comment, but so far so good.
I have combo skin, and enjoy a natural to glowing finish. I always powder my foundation for longevity, especially because I’m combo.
I would recommend either!

I had an idea so many of us want you to do a top 5 series again. I was thinking this time you could add a twist. 5 plus 2. You could select 2 that you recommend highly for mature skin. The 2 could come from the top 5 or be in addition to them if none of your top 5 are your ideals for mature.

Interesting. The Westman Atelier foundation gives me natural glow, while the Bobbi Brown you mention makes my skin extremely oily and give me breakouts.

Thanks Kay! I copied a response to Kim's comment to post here that may help! kim f I have mature skin too Kim - use the Tom Ford stick foundation for many of the same reasons that Mandy spoke about. I find it emollient but definitely not greasy, long lasting and does not settle into fine lines or get cakey throughout the day - no oxidation - color stays the same. It is so easy to travel with - one of my favorite foundations (the other is also Tom Ford - Traceless Perfecting Foundation)

Love these chats we have about foundation. I like them all on you, especially the Westman Atelier (lol, mostly because I think that shade might be nice for ME). LOL, I agree it is a blessing that everyone is different, although I wish people were better at choosing words more wisely and thinking about how they would feel and react if they were told some of the stuff they say online to others.

Here I am a few years later, trying to find a new holy grail since it appears the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick has been discontinued. 😢😢😢 I had tried many dozens of foundations over several years, trying to find one that would give me the true medium-to-full coverage I wanted, could hold up to my oily skin (made even more challenging by my warm/humid climate in the summer), and looked natural/skin-like. And that Tom Ford foundation got an A+ in every category, was miles and away the best foundation I’ve ever tried, and actually was less expensive than many other foundations when taking into account the huge amount of product per stick. I remember one particular time when a waitress told me, “OMG, your skin is literally perfect,” while dining outside in the summer, and I had a few hormonal blemishes at the time. I said, “It really isn’t even close to perfect, it’s just amazing foundation. But thank you!” 😅 I’m heartbroken at the loss, and so stressed that it looks like it’s back to the drawing board trying to find another foundation that even comes remotely close to the performance of the Tom Ford. 😔

I love the TF, it's your favorite for a reason. I'm not into luminosity for myself so I'd go for the Bobbi Brown in position #2. On you it looks wonderful so I can see why you chose the Bare Minerals. I'm tempted to give it a try, it's very reasonably priced and I'm not sure why I didn't know that. Anyway, great vid, thanks!

I really like the Bobbi Brown stick but I have the wrong shade and look like a carrot, LOL! I need to wait for a sale and try it in neutral porcelain. Have you seen the new Pur foundation that includes a doe-foot for concealing? I'd love to see your thoughts on it but I'm highly annoyed that Ulta is only carrying some of the shades and not even each undertone...

Have want to try the TF so now I will after seeing this. I want to try a stick to travel with and there aren't enough color choices in the WA yet. I heard more are going to come out soon if not already.

I almost always use the Elta MD UV Elements SPF 44 for my sunscreen and I have been using the Beautycounter Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream for months as my moisturizer. :)
I love the concept of stick foundation, but I don’t think they are a good value. Plus, I have dry skin and you’d think cream products would be better but I look cakey.

I so respect your opinions- especially on foundation. I have the Tom Ford and Bare Minerals and rank them as you did. I have samples of the Westman Atelier and just haven’t been able to purchase. I love it some days but it is awful if I have any flakey areas and it’s just finicky. I’m concerned that I wouldn’t use it because of the uncertainty. I do have the Kjaer Weis and I absolutely love it. It’s up there with the Tom Ford.

I love the Tom Ford stick foundation and now have two of them in different colours . The problem I find is choosing the right colour . Due to the pandemic you can’t test it out plus I’m not going into stores right now so been ordering on line . Information and colour swatches especially for undertones seems really hard to find online . Any advice 😘🥰😳
It is definitely a tough time for shade matching for sure. I have often gone on to youtube and searched the color I think may work for me, and then see if the people using it match me close enough to be comfortable ordering.
I think Westman Atelier looked amazing on you when it was freshly applied. Can't speak to the wear time, but without powder, I'm not surprised that people have trouble with it lasting all day. I know Gucci Westman doesn't have a setting powder or a real primer in her line. Maybe those products should be there for some skin types.

I have had oily skin all my life and now that I am older (63)my skin is still oily, just not as oily. I do have a fitbit. I actually really like it. It helps track the things I care alot about like exercise and sleep. LOL And I like that I can see text messages and calls when I am working and don't have my phone on me. :)
I think they all looked fantastic on you! How do they feel on your skin? They don't look heavy on your skin but I envision they would feel heavy. I like that you say they are great for travel that would then get me to thinking of that as their main use but also realize I have to play with things at home before I travel with them.

I just ordered the BM original complexion rescue and hope it lives up to the hype! If it does you know I’m buying the stick formula!! New to your channel and I love it due to your taste in glowy beautiful skin and foundation! Maybe you can do a spf 🧴 video for some that are tinted and non for on their own or under makeup. Spf is becoming so popular thank goodness!!!

I agree with kim f, every product you use looks beautiful on you. I know it's not technically a stick foundation but I did love the Kjaer Weis foundation on you. So much so that of course I ordered it and CANNOT wait until it arrives. I love the Bare Minerals. I have the two lightest shades. I have to use my hands to warm it up. I have the driest skin ever so it's hard to get foundations to mesh with my skin. The Bare Minerals is one of the few that look good all day.
