It’s crazy seeing how much physically smaller the Godzilla is when it’s right next to the Coyote, especially when you take into account the fact that it has nearly 50% more displacement than the Coyote… DOHC absolutely has its advantages, but you can’t beat the good old pushrod engine for compactness!
I love that you have a passion for Foxbody s . LMR is awesome. Somehow I don't see myself keeping my license for very long with the addition of a power train you all have installed. I do like it though 🦊🐎💯👍
@tegrity news that is moving. It only has one cam though not cams haha. I got a feeling I'm talking to a mod motor/coyote guy lol. No worries I'm a mod guy myself but the 7.3 is beast
Hell yeah. Just got to see this car in person at the FORD TAKEOVER dyno day June 23rd 2023. Landon you rock brother. Was nice to chat with ya about the Green Goblin and Mustang's in general. I hope to see yall at the LMR CRUISE INN this year in November.. 🤔🚫🧢🎬✊️💯💪🏼😈🥶🚙☁️🌮🙏
Ya man Love to jam one of those engine's in a 67 Fairlane and double Turbo it :-)) Because... Shelby Engines Co. crate 427 Hemi... just can't imagine affording that particular crate -))
I was watching this series because Im thinking of starting a Godzilla swap in my 91 GT. You got a stock intake to clear a 2.5" cowl hood, do you think (or know) if the BTR intake, or Ford Motorsport intake would clear a stock hood?
I can't speak on behalf of the BTR intake since I don't have personal experience with it. We recently installed the Ford Performance intake (video coming soon), and it still didn't clear the stock hood. From what I can tell, all that Ford Performance did with their intake is reposition the throttle body. It also accepts the 92mm throttle body from the GT500. -Landan
@@cp_lightstang166 Not at this time. We're happy with where the car is at. Plus, the BTR intake loses a lot of low-end torque because of the short runner. -Landan
Please tell me this car is available to sell? My first mustang was this 92 beast and I had 10k invested into it and it was recovered stripped and destroyed in bath New Hampshire. They stole it in broad daylight out of a secured parking garage. Never forget that feeling that day. Please tell me it’s available somewhere 😅😅great video guys
A 5.0L engine in a 2001 GT? I think you meant 4.6L. Yes, the Godzilla engine can be used in a New Edge car. Like any engine swap, you'll have to figure out how to make everything work. Most of what you see in this series can be used for your swap. -Landan
That's an awful lot of motor just to get 416 horse power. You could have took a 302 and stroked it to 347 and put a set of heads and a turbo on it and got more horse power.
It's not about the horsepower for these engines. These are engineered as truck engines and torque is this engine's strong points, which you really need for a great launch when drag racing. That being said, there have been other applications of this engine making a solid 1,000 horsepower or more if your mission is more about the ponies than torque numbers. Added bonus is that these engines are not as wide at the top as the Coyote, making it easier to fit into older cars without cutting up your engine compartment. Lastly, it doesn't cost much more than a new Coyote crate engine.
As the swap becomes more popular in the SN95/New Edge cars, I'm sure at that point we'll entertain the idea of making an a/c kit for those cars. Thanks. -Landan

Great series! Thirty-two hundred pounds with an iron block and heavy automatic transmission is pretty good. A crate Godzilla running 11.17 is stellar.

Thanks for the kind words and for watching! We appreciate it! -Landan
Wow they did good
About what a stock coyote swap would run in that car. The question now is which is cheaper to do?
With a Coyote in similar trim, the times would be very close. If you bought parts new, the cost is also comparable. -Landan

You should do a new edge Godzilla swap, I'm looking to do one and would like the reference
Most of what you saw in this video can be used for an SN95/New Edge car. -Landan
Win one of Cletus mcfarley Turbo's and that car will run 7.s
400 lb-ft right from the get go.. thats pretty nice

You should change the name. There is already a fox named green goblin. And it’s actually green.
If you guys wanna install a Godzilla in my '16 Mustang GT, I'll lend it to you for the video, free of charge!! ;) Hahaha
Please put an x pipe on it

I prefer an hpipe it's deeper and more muscular. This pushrod would definitely sound dope with an h.
