I just brought the phone yesterday and I love it. it's a great phone.
not bad great phone for my grandma very cheap ,stock Android, finger print scanner, Hd screen and a decent 2 gigs of ram with a USB type c port for 100 dollars damm zte just went all out.
I just bought one a couple days ago, I gotta say I like it for what it is. I also have an iPhone 7, have had it's predecessors and have had many other Androids such as the Note 5, Galaxy s7, HTC M8 & A9, et cetera. This phone is damn near as good as any of those and they all cost several times what this one does. This is an incredible phone for $100, although I caught the port in deal and got mine for free. The screen isn't the brightest but it's clear and nice to watch videos on, the USB Type-C port and fast charging capability is awesome too. It even sounds good and loud with my Plantronics Bluetooth headphones.
we have those kinds of phones here in asia. most of the time the downside of those phones are their camera and software update which is very rare to ge updates.
How the hell is this $100? Most $200-250 phones have those specs. Hell, the One A9 was $500 with similar specs

you can pick up an lg g2 now for under a £100 which is a great deal! Still holds up VERY well even today
My son has this on metro pcs and gets around 30 megs down and 15 up on speedtest. and never loses signal. And we travel a lot.
I love the fact that it is $100. who wants to pay $500 or more for a phone. Not I!!! Anyway I think it is amazing that there is actually a company that keeps their consumers budget in mind. Other companies should follow.

Got mine yesterday, pretty sweet. Only issue seems like the battery isn't performing as well as some, 5-6 hours on screen time? Not here :-/ I have yet to do a charge yet maybe that has something to do with it. Came with 95%. Will do a review soon

I was surprised to find the ZTE ZMax Pro on the market even for MetroPCS. This model makes my earlier ZTE brand, the Z820 with its 5.1 Android OS feel, absolutely, puny. Now I'm holding a juggernaut smartphone showing definite smart design in a flooded market segment. With a Snapdragon octa-core (meaning eight core-types) processor, a 600 series, it's very fast. How ZTE can manage it is news to me. Like the article says: smartphone like the ZTE ZMax Pro start at $200 in the US. How ZTE cut at least $100 from its market value of this smartphone and still make change is a wonder. The other end is marketing. That is marketing a flagship lower-cost version, pulling more buyers into the market. The magic will work better if a substantial product ups market segments. A wise strategy. The ZTE ZMax Pro comes with a six-inch display that looks scratch and smudge/dirt resistant. It cleans off super clear, where some others easily cloud their clean glass. Best buy at MetroPCS. Couldn't pass this one because it price outweighs it's features!!
It's a great phone, I have had it for a few months, I can't say why, but I have had the opportunity to use it and become a little knowledgeable about it. The battery has been great, I was able to watch an entire episode of house of cards, around 50 minutes, with the battery only dropping 9%. The camera is pretty good but low light isn't great. The speed of everything is great. So far usb otg has not worked on this, I have tried multiple adapters. The finger scanner is great. One of the best parts is that it is near stock android. It does work great on T-Mobile

I was all for getting the LG Stylo 2 Plus......that was until I saw that this new ZTE was coming out. The fact that its $50 cheaper kind of makes you think.
Will you be able to buy this off contract, like not have to have metro to get it? I may get it for video watching and what not.
This phone has been touted everywhere as being a $99 phone, but I tried to buy one today at one of my local MetroPCS stores, and the dude was trying to charge me $300 for it.

You're allowed to upgrade every 3 months at MPCS . If you don't like it after you buy it , just wait another 3 months and get something else
I was never a fan of ZTE the brand but holy shit this phone looks good
I got mine from Metro PCS new and the thing that's annoying me is the network, I loose network every hour or so and have to restart the phone in order to get back the signal. Sometimes the phome start restarting alone every 30s when network is lost.
This is not Sim issue because I never had this issue before upgrading my HTC Desire 626. Signal was always available.
Now when I receive a call I will say 90% of the time I will miss the call as network not available !!!
Can't even return the phone for the 7 first 7 days because it's an upgrade !!!

Not for gamer's but for a lot of people who watch Netflix or You Tube or movies they've saved to disk. A great feature is to access Microsoft Word it looks great and comes with every feature found on a laptop. I have the 2015 Z max and its 5.7 in screen is just fine. 128GB SD card is the big plus. In a real way this is a great replacement for a iPod classic.
ZTE guys should seriously think about releasing this handset in India.

MetroPCS phones are actually unlocked. I don't believe any of their phones were ever network locked.

+Power30 this phone will be locked. Received confirmation from Metro PCS them selves. After 3+ months of active service you can request for the phone to be unlocked.
rybob7 Well then that is new. I guess they are going against their policy then. As I was reading their terms and conditions one day and it did say that they never will have a network locked phones. Guess they updated that then.

is this good for social media music some pictures, reading and texting? i don't ever play games in the 5 years i've had smartphones, i've never even played games so gpu performance doesnt matter to me at all.

If this device was unlocked, ZTE would have a real winner on their hands. I mean, it's still a winner, but it could have been a pretty big deal if it was unlocked.

Nice! The only problem in my opinion is the screen size. Otherwise Snapdragon 617, which also powers Moto G4, is a pretty impressive chipset for this price. It performs really nice but has some heating issues. Still a very very impressive spec list for the price.

Cheap phone with a snapdragon chip......FINALLY someone did it, now one of these cheaper phones have the chance of being good for custom guys.
I'm almost impressed my only concern is the ram, it's better if it has 3 gb of ram but considering this price point.

Phone really isnt that bad for $100, its slightly better than the LG Stylo 2 plus and the J7. For the size it's probably perfect for people who got big hands like i do. Processor wize, is mid-range but having an Octa Core makes the phone feel a little new gen.

$100 isn't ridiculous, phones aren't expensive at all! How much do you think it costs to make an iPhone 6s? Not $500, not $400, no, it's about $250 and the S7 Edge is about $300. But most companies pay a lot for marketing and they want big profits. That's why Apple is the most profitable company in the world
This phone is pretty much on par plus a few features to my Idol 3. Except this is $150 less than the MSRP of the Idol 3. DAMN affordable phones are just getting better and better. Hopefully we'll hear more about the Axon 7 soon.
Has anyone heard of the ZTE Blitz? It seems to be an Optus (australian provider) exclusive phone. I can't find it anywhere else even in other countries. I find it hard to get details on it...

Why 6 inches? Who uses a phone this big? I'd like it to be 5.2 or 5.5 inches but those specs are extremely competetive for the price.
