We had one of these Diesels; I don't think it's possible to get it stuck. The hand clutch was smooth as silk. Ours took just a little ether in the winter, but ALWAYS started. Sure smoked up the shed though until she warmed up, and you had to stand outside for a few minutes. I wanted to buy it at Dad's auction but lived out of state at the time.

I agree, I like the ol tractors with the long hoods, like the Oliver 880 and the IH 706 that I have

My dad did a lot of the tests on hat unit in AZ. He worked at the Hopkins plant as a R&D Engineer. Sure miss him.

Here in Oz they were called "Twins" for the twin cities "MM", I went to work on my uncle's farm in '61, he had two of them, both petrol start then run on kerosene, later he got one of the first diesel ones to come here, all seemed very good tractors, man, that was a long time ago!!!!

My grandpa has a Minneapolis Moline UTS-D tractor in really good shape. 2400 ever built and I’m sure only a 100 or so in that good of shape.
