Recording saxophone - EV RE20 short microphone test

A short demo of the legendary EV RE20 microphone.
Performs better for live than performing than for recording in my opinion.

I have the same mic, glad you posted this. I’ll play around with the placement like you. I normally have it pointed down toward the bell, but your placement seems better

Glad the video is useful for you. Around 30cm away slightly towards the keys and top of bell seems to work well.
