This is awesome!! I'm trying to make this for the show I'm going to, too. Did you run into any issues with the raw cotton edges fraying from being cut? I'm having that problem rn and trying to figure out how to fix it.
I did a little bit during the show, but not so much where it was really noticeable. I think it depends on the fabric you use as well! I think mine looked pretty good with the fraying but if you want to be more accurate to the picture, maybe try to hem the fringe as well (even though that would be a lot of time!)
