In stormblood he destroyed the cannon, in shadowbringers he infiltrated the black rose plant. Now he's back to retirement and gets to wear a plastic sheriff's badge

Naw - this is super easily fixed by just having Galool Ja Ja turn around to us, start to talk, and then get stabbed from behind in a flash. It's how *long* the ressurection animation takes with Galool Ja Ja obviously on the back foot that's just poor writing, tropes or no.
