Fog Hill and Kaiju No 8 GO HARD. Those are the two most engaging shows I’ve seen this year and they’re both in my top 10 all time favorites. Fog Hill has artistry like no other and Kaiju gives the feels.

Good list, I would order this way different. Never seen Vivy and 86 though. I see a lot people liked Cyber punk. It was good. Top 5…no way imo. The last couple years have had some really strong addition to anime action genre. Hells paradise, Tensei, Solo leveling, Undead unlock, JJK, Kajui #8, Frien beyond journey end.

Frieren? I know it's not 100% action, but so is Mushoku Tensei. Blade of the Guardians (I learned this through your channel) and A Will Eternal (Yi Nian Yong Heng) are good action anime. I must warn you that the second one takes a while to build because of the world and character-building (52 episodes), but the fights were fantastic.

@@whos_agent2129 Are we talking about the same Frieren? RPG style? Do you remember the first action sequence in Frieren? At the end of episode 3 and it lasted for about 3 minutes in all. Do you know when the next action sequence was? Episode 5 and again, only a minute or 2. The action element in Frieren is minimal until First Class mage competition at the end of the season, which is where you see repeated action sequences. Mushoku Tensei is also a bit of stretch for calling it an action anime, but is more consistent with its action. Its story constantly builds tension, which eventually leads to action. By comparison, Frieren is much more "chill".

You can call it whatever you want but it’s clear that frienen action is a key part of the anime. They also do amazing job of animating the fights and putting significance when it happens. While collecting pieces and world building and then significants fights is used as a vechile to drive the story. The whole ending of the first season of Frien was action based…so saying it’s not an action anime or the fights is sprinkled is certainly not true. I am not here to say, Frienen is your typical action based anime like JJK. I am here to say if something like Tensei can make it…then it’s no reason we shouldn’t be considering Frienen. That’s my argument. Mushoku Tensei and Frienen would probably be the least action based anime in this list but still action is a key driver in the plot in a lot of the key moments in the story. It also seems like in the next season or arc it’s going to be more action based. I haven’t watched 86 or Vivy. So I can’t speak on them.

Before reading the manga and only after watching season one of chainsawman it’s my number two favorite anime & im glad im caught up in the manga now cuz im loving the story and the characters the anime gives me high hopes cuz i love the art style i just love the vibes and can relate to a lot of it. I decided to ride the hype wave two months ago and started watching first episode of first season. Swallowed all 13 episodes in two days. I was so excited about 2nd season and god, it is so painful to watch. I wish they didn't switch studios.
Undead unluck. The anime we got instead of continuing the Fire Force plot. I didn't hate it but the SFX and animation are very similar. Its good but I would rather have had more of Fire Force instead of this wacky, stand alone premise. Not to say Fire Force is more grounded but I just have been waiting and because of Undead Unluck I am now going to be waiting longer.
Tower of God Season 2 is a disaster. What started as an intriguing mix of mystery, strategy, and complex characters has spiraled into complete chaos. The pacing feels erratic, leaving us confused and disconnected from the storyline. Character development, once a strong point, now feels forced at best or non-existent. The plot seems to meander aimlessly, losing the gripping tension that made the first season compelling. Instead of building on its foundation, Season 2 feels like it’s tearing it down. I cannot emphasize how completely disappointed I am.
It was on bilibili but last time I checked they only play it at 480p quality unless u subscribe and because its the animation during the fight scenes that makes it awesome watching it at 480p really spoils it
Cyberpunk Edgerunners was so damn good that it revived the game it was based on. Cyberpunk 2077 was such a disaster at launch being so damn buggy that people quickly went back to San Andreas or COD. Soon as Edgerunners dropped. It was like the game developers had to immediately fix everything wrong with the game just so (spoilers) people could avenge David & Rebecca. Ive killed Adam Smasher i cant tell you how many times since the animes release
I dont get Tower of God as a "best Action anime" at all. It was incredible bland and uninteresting(incoherent might be a better word for it). I cant really remember a single fight or action sequence from it. I know there was a decent amount of action, including various "battle royal" events, but nothing that stood out or helped tell a story. It did not help with the way the season ended and how the new season started. There is so much that was cut short or skipped compared to the webtoon. I should probably try to rewatch the first season, or at least a couple of the episodes.
