One of the biggest issues and I think a massive part of why this update failed, is because they removed Jet packs/passives and DIDN'T finish completing the New Skills for All the characters! It was less than half a finished rework update, in regards to updating the Characters and having their "vision" in place. - They also failed horribly to really communicate with the community about what they are doing or going to do, and that just seemed to compound all the issues even more. Wish they could just be completely transparent at this point, it's at a big tipping point.
I hopped on to play recently and it didn’t even feel like the same game and not in a good way. Movement feels so clunky, the movement battles were so fun now it feels awful

feel like some people forget that this just came out to global release and been out for so long in another region server. sure the dev don’t listen is because they are trying to think what they should add the game. we as the gamers should think like the developers and should know that these changes are just new for them and maybe they wanted to release these feathers by in alpha test or in the first season.
Since New State Mobile has now jetpacks, why not they include or retain one jetpack skill (maybe vertical because they will include jetslide) for all heroes aside from adding jetslide for all heroes, then include one tactical skill and one ultimate skill for each heroes. So it's like just having three active skills for each hero, one jetpack skill, one tactical skill, one ultimate skill. In that way, they would still be keeping the jetpacks we all fell in love in Farlight 84 and the fast pased movement will still be there and it will be easier to play Farlight 84 even for new players. Also, maybe they can make the passive skill the same for the same type of hero so that there would still be a passive skill for each hero, rather than removing their passive skill completely. This will save the game and will hopefully improve the rating of the game.
You are wrong...this game was launched in end of 2020..WSas there on playstore since 2020...I have been playing since early 2021...Global launch was june 2022.....Then something weird happened... They again in 2022 end they wrote Farlight ( beta ) on playstore...Then again second global launch in 2023... But this game was on playstore and worked smoothly & infact the graphics were 100000% times better than the farlight now....
Problem is they have started to kill servers now I am getting 150ms can't play even if I want to. New states have better get packs so I am playing that.
Game can now be summed up as 'generic'. Sunder Realms is big but nothing sticks in your memory. For example exeryone knows what to expect if you land in Tianman Industrial or Carnivale, in Sunder Realms, no one cares. Conclusion less (+ thoughtful design) = more. Nothing devs say on jetpacks makes sense or shows common sense. They said that 'ultra high movement hero skills' will solve issues, but that just puts them back to square one and makes things even harder for new players with complaints. Better just have a good jetpack tutorial and if a slight nerf on jetpack is required, so be it. (though I think that bloated oversize Sunder Realms must be a big part of the memory problem) Maybe they have a new in house artist or something but the character designs music, sound effects were cool, guns were calibrated just about right etc. Now characters are increasingly looking like they should be protesting for gender neutral toilets with thumping r n b lift music from pound world as background. As soon as the lazy caz said they were solidifying their identity in update 2.0 I had a sinking feeling it would be terrible. If you write short stories, sometimes you will be told to narrow your focus and make sure you cover every area and theme with high quality; that was original FL84. If you want to write generic fiction, you can try to cover 1000 different topics but basically just rip of every idea around you with paper thin quality; that is new FL84.
the jet slide that was just added in kind of made it feel somewhat good again.. even if they dont bring back vertical boost for the jetpacks they should do double horizontal boost
the jetpack update removed one of the fundamentals of the gameplay as well as changed how some characters work, the game was not the same after that, I quit after a week or so
jetpacks were a skilled based mechanic that new and casual players did not have, they had to play to the majority, at the end of the day it is a business, will it die on pc maybe but with 10+ million downloads on Google app store it will be around for a while or at least until it stops making money.
If high energy heroes become global this game is good as done. Even new state new era is taking advantage of jetpack hype with their new game mode. I will never understand the reason behind removing jetpacks when it's clear than daylight that players only play this game because of it.

Gambling/Lottery shouldn't be in games children play. Neither should syringes, drugs, smoking, provocative suggestions. Especially if they are requesting your parents for real money... I'm 35 years old & play this game but I've played with children because you never know who's going to be your teammate. The lottery system needs to go. Also they need to fix the lobby chat. You can Only use a few characters so I can never say what I really want to say & It thinks normal words are provocative language because all the languages must be in one dictionary. Because sometimes normal English words are a provocative word in Spanish.

How can i even deal with a pro maggie and im sorry ite not skills issue cause a no dash syfer could never deal with a maggie unless shes low and her dashes is on cd which is unlikely cause pro maggie makes sure that skill is up and can spam when heading into battle . I like playing moi moi and syfer so imagine the stress when there is lots of maggies in matches. Then ducky is just a menace at this point cause bro can roll up under u so fast . Then the full team camp in a building. This update is not new player friendly or solo queue friendly. So the dev need to come out delulu land and be real . They want to follow other games periodt...
The reasons you listed may be why it's mobile player base has fallen off. But for me at least it's the controls and overall feel of the PC version. Granted... it is just a mobile port.

I think you hit most of the nails on the head. I personally don't think the jetpack change was that bad, I can still play Maggie, but there's two things I think were missed. The developer largely ignores the feedback they're given. Despite a lot of outrage for the removal of jetpacks, they still did it, and doubled down afterwards. Giving your playerbase what they want is such a simple thing to do, yet they still went along and did it. Other than that, the remodels of characters has been pretty jarring. Captain had a great design and they cited his appearance being the reason why he wasn't seeing play, but they provided no empirical data on that, and he had one of the weakest kits in the game along with Watchman pre-jetpack removal. Then they proceeded to remodel Maggie, likely the most played character and postergirl for seemingly no reason as well. Lastly the way that they have been balancing agents, vehicles, and abilities seems haphazard. While they finally toned down Beau and the War Falcon to a reasonable point, they went and adjusted things that didn't need changes. The Bar95 was a fringe weapon and they made it virtually worthless. They increase and decrease the recoil of the AK and M4 almost every patch, and then they don't seem to know what niches they want each weapon to fill.
the main take away is that - the players massively pushed back on the changes - and they know of the issues and still went in and did it anyway disregarding the core player base criticism - the skills was not balanced the color theme changes sucked - movement was awful and overall experience took a sharp turn downward - even with the slide implemented - the controls are awkward
The movement in this game is comparable to apex now. I enjoy it thoroughly. Ive almost stopped playing apex an im monetized on facebook for playing it 😂
First of all I don't know why people care about jetpacks so much when this game got vehicles that do a whole bunch of other stuff.I didn't even use the jetpacks. You complaining about sweats what first person shooter or shooter in general doesn't have sweats? if you going to think like that you might as well not play Call of Duty mobile, you might as well not play high energy Heroes, or Blood strikes or warzone mobile or rainbow Siege mobile.

Haven't played since they changed the game and I won't be back. Played with watchman and he was completely useless after the update. Game is garbage and unplayable unless you play Maggie
I dont think its bad development though, it might be because they are forced to remove it since pubg release a jetpacl one too so it migbt be they are pressured or payed to remove it so their fanbase will switch to the other one
There is no way to save the game because the devs already made up their minds and don't care what the players think and will not listen, the only viable option is if another game company takes the ip the moment farlight dies and bring back jet packs increase the cool down, change Maggie's skill into a faster sprint and pizza sauce grenade that blocks vision also make her ult pizza theme
With the passage of time, such game modes are boring, especially when the developers don't make a certain mode, I'll be honest PvP games don't have a lot of potential.

💥💥I played this game when it first came out it was alright. I didn't really use the jetpacks that much I use vehicles more yeah people did spam the jetpacks during shootouts. I don't think this game was going to last long regardless especially warzone Mobile coming out Rainbow Six mobil, high-energy Heroes, blood strike people still play Call of Duty mobile you got Arena break etc. farlight84 was never going to really succeed that long in my opinion.

They have decreased assult rifels in all the maps & 3rd skill was not required...2skills & jetpacks was perfect....

The developer largely ignores the feedback they're given. Despite a lot of outrage for the removal of jetpacks, they still did it, and doubled down afterwards. Giving your playerbase what they want is such a simple thing to do, yet they still went along and did it.
Other than that, the remodels of characters has been pretty jarring. Captain had a great design and they cited his appearance being the reason why he wasn't seeing play, but they provided no empirical data on that, and he had one of the weakest kits in the game along with Watchman pre-jetpack removal. Then they proceeded to remodel Maggie, likely the most played character and postergirl for seemingly no reason as well.
Lastly the way that they have been balancing agents, vehicles, and abilities seems haphazard. While they finally toned down Beau and the War Falcon to a reasonable point, they went and adjusted things that didn't need changes. The Bar95 was a fringe weapon and they made it virtually worthless. They increase and decrease the recoil of the AK and M4 almost every patch, and then they don't seem to know what niches they want each weapon to fill.

the main take away is that - the players massively pushed back on the changes - and they know of the issues and still went in and did it anyway disregarding the core player base criticism - the skills was not balanced the color theme changes sucked - movement was awful and overall experience took a sharp turn downward - even with the slide implemented - the controls are awkward

Haven't played since they changed the game and I won't be back. Played with watchman and he was completely useless after the update. Game is garbage and unplayable unless you play Maggie
I dont think its bad development though, it might be because they are forced to remove it since pubg release a jetpacl one too so it migbt be they are pressured or payed to remove it so their fanbase will switch to the other one
There is no way to save the game because the devs already made up their minds and don't care what the players think and will not listen, the only viable option is if another game company takes the ip the moment farlight dies and bring back jet packs increase the cool down, change Maggie's skill into a faster sprint and pizza sauce grenade that blocks vision also make her ult pizza theme

yeah its dead... all that happens after the 2.0 update... its all trash.. no jetpack, no movement, unbalance gameplay, servers are being shutdown resulting on high pings gameplay, that update is not yet ready. it makes the game really broken like no direction where to go.. even they fix the game or not.. its just not the same as before.. that company cannot be trusted...
Why in the world did they remove jetpack? I remember playing the beta tests and the game felt amazing for a mobile game. I'd say even smoother than pubg Mobile

💥💥I played this game when it first came out it was alright. I didn't really use the jetpacks that much I use vehicles more yeah people did spam the jetpacks during shootouts.
I don't think this game was going to last long regardless especially warzone Mobile coming out Rainbow Six mobil, high-energy Heroes, blood strike people still play Call of Duty mobile you got Arena break etc. farlight84 was never going to really succeed that long in my opinion.
