And whatever bad stuff you had done wrong before, God will forgive your sin when you repented your sin and God will prosper your future when you lean not to your own understanding and trust him whole-heartedly.
It takes great courage to confess in front of public and nobody treat them as hero. They may fall from grace and go back to their old ways again. We just applause and encourage them to continue the fight.
