i agree and disagree, i find awesome ebay deals.. but the card shows you def can find deals even if its just 1 or 2 vendors its well worth the trip alone, but exposing the crazy talk is real! lol@@AProfilename

i know what you mean rocket rick (man i love calling you by your name lol) however at those shows, i dont even go aiming for the big name cards, the thought of carrying all that money and.. spending it all at one time like a casino lol. you have to have fun every once in a while opening a pack or two while youre there.
Really, entertaining video Mikey. Your narration to support the Card Show video was really well done. I especially liked the buildup to where you were going to buy the binder full of commons. And of course I loved the part where you played the sad sound when prices were too high 😂

56T #1 is worst possible case for Beckett price because it is condition sensitive and the Beckett price is for high grade but the value drops drastically and in lower grade it is just a common. I have purchased from dealers who price according to Beckett and it is a giant PITA to have to ask them and wait for them to look up, but in most cases the price should not be that bad.
It's a pain indeed , but it's worth the wait if they really wanna move it and negotiate that eBay price. The guys in their late 50's and 60's that do use the Beckett to sell are at a good percentage they won't budge. I'm 46, I still use Beckett prices for mint condition non graded type cards. I never sell full price or buy full price. The magazine is still good , just not on guys that won't budge lol

i havent came across many sellers waiting for their price, once they give a top dollar price i just lose interest in their cards period, and youre right the beckett is a great source for cards ball park figure however i do feel like ebay kinda sets the prices on cards meaning a card is really only worth whats some ones willing to pay for it. my opinion.. @@geezmikey no I agree. But I hate it when a pack pulled card looks like $20 that it books for but it sells for $12 or $13 with the shipping. If it's buy it now , there should be that option on selling on eBay that you get to make that $20 price and only have it set as a one time make a better offer. Then you got eBay taking money from you even more . I mean is there a site or app where we can have honesty buyers that will pay and or we can trade ?? Besides dm's lol I miss doing trades that are honest and we can both agree on a price . Like with the lady with $400 binder, who knows if she would understand what we would pay and why she can't get $400 lol ya know?? Sorry for the long rant lol it happens when I talk cards, love this hobby .

Dude thats freakin Sweet, Congrats on completing the 1969 topps set!! the only numbers i need are all HOF players, clemente, aaron, mays, rollie fingers, nolan ryan, and johnny bench. appreciate the thought, however. ill be slowly buying those as im gonna wait for combine shipping. since those bad boys arent cheap.
i believe they come to pasadena twice a year?? or atleast they did last year and so far 1 this year. that was my first time, but i did have tickets for the last one in which i didnt make.
I think the dealer, who over priced the Mantle at 12 thousand probably doesn't really know how much its going for. Or could be living in 2021. I don't know. But, would like to believe he means well.
i think he was there just showing off his collection, he had alot of great autograph cards. but the prices were really high. example duke snider in $300 range, eeks. you can find nice early 50s sniders auto around the $100 range. thats why i asked what his mantle autos were.. crazy talk!
