The best in the porn comic industry definitely would be more talented than Liefeld. Drawing men and women that attractive requires an intimate knowledge of human anatomy.
Dude, porn comics require EVEN BETTER art style and details than a regular comic. Imagine that guy drawing the face of an orgasming person. It'll be the worst expression you'll possibly see in your entire life

It doesn't look that empty to me, but i still have to look at it every 5 minutes even tho i know nothing changed.
I hope you guys continue this series. I'm sick of those DeviantArt Cringe videos making fun of children's art and beginner artists. This makes me feel better to know that professional artists are imperfect and it actually inspires me to improve my art skills to do better than the professional artists you show in this series. Thank you for that!

Well yeah. You have to painstakingly learn alll that human anatomy stuff...and then, just as painstakingly ignore everything you learned. Not easy to do.

I met Rob at a comic shop. He's a funny guy. Even funnier was the guy behind me in line got the famous buff cap art signed.i stuck around to see the look on his face when be signed it and it was priceless

The thing is, exaggerated proportional body parts *can* be done correctly.
Rob Lifield may not know how to do it right, I personally believe that comic art is about making the art look as interesting, dramatic, and exciting as possible.
Does Rob Lifield do those things?
Well, yeah when you really think of it (in a bad way), the art is so bad, that you're interested in it. But, it could be worse.

It'd be far more interesting to explain WHY he adopted this style. Hideous as they are, these decisions are obviously decisions and not mistakes.
Rob Liefeld may be co creator of Deadpool but he had nothing to do with making Deadpool cool.
On that infamous Captain America picture, 15:55 isn't his arm all messed up, too? Like, his arm is either super short or his fingertips are barely covered by the shield. I don't know what the hell is going on there....

Rob Liefeld was the main reason I stopped buying comics. Not only because of his atrocious "artwork", but because everyone who should have spoken up about it did not do so, and just blindly signed it off for the next stage of the process. Colorist, inker, editor, printer and whoever else, all stayed silent. I can only theorise that Liefeld exudes some sort of reality distortion field that warps the vision, discernment and decision making of everyone in his vicinity.
Everyone talks about the feet, teeth, spines, and legs of Rob's work, but just look at those shoulders. Further, facing away shoulders are larger despite perspective and foreshortening. Sometimes a shoulder is practically non-existing to accommodate for the overly large bicep. And the amount of times he draws someone with a head that isnt on the center of their body/shoulders is staggering, but in some of these there is literally an arm coming out the side of a head...
Edit: to add to the last part about not hating on him - yeah he's a terrible artist and miraculously an even worse writer, but Image has put out some pretty good and critically acclaimed stuff over the years. Yeah, I can't say any of those were his works, but he still created the publisher that put them on which should count for something, I guess.

Guys Ik I’m six years too late. But that headdress is scarlet witch’s original headdress from the silver age.😂 that wasn’t Liefeld’s costume design. It was Jack ,the King, Kirby’s. You know, the guy who designed Captain America, Darkseid, The Fantastic Four, Black Panther etc.. but I guess they can’t all be winners (costume designs I mean). You guys are still great though and the video is still funny.

I really want to get into Spider-Man comics, but I really don't know where a good starting point is. What story line would you suggest?

I just read issues 68 -77 because I have the 8th Masterworks collection but that's it. So I guess a good story.
From what I've read I'm now completely fucking hooked on the 60's series but its not exactly the most emotionally gripping.
Psychobot For me, it didn't really get emotionally engaging until Gwen died. I'd say skip ahead to there because Gerry Conway's writing was stellar beyond that point, even if the dialogue was occasionally kind of cheesy. 70s and 80s are the golden years.

I don't like what Dan Slott is currently doing but I do believe that he is capable of good stories all that said I definitely believe it's time for a new writer.

I still love Liefeld's style, it still represent "comics" in the 80/90s love ot hate it.
For the selected few that never saw Jim Lee and Marc SIlvestri's art, it certainly must look like that.
I wouldn't know, though. With other names like George Perez and Neal Adams,
the image that comes to mind when thinking about 80/90's comics is quite different.

Those were the 90’s. it wasn’t just Liefelf who drew that way. Things to keep in mind are that comics were being designed to exaggerate the images being drawn. The bad girl scene was in full swing so anatomy was always exaggerated. Stephen Platt, Dale Keown, Several of the Image staple artists drew this way to a certain point. Say what you want about Liefeld, but he sold books.

i am an aspiring artist, i try to work hard at getting better at drawing but honestly i get lazy from time to time, seeing videos about rob liefeld puts the fucking fear of god and the absolute need for me to improve cuz i dont wana be rob liefeld, this scares me so much to the point where i had a nightmare were my drawing ability was being evaluated by rob liefeld, i chocked and he and some other dude laughed at me.

his art style defined the 90s, people actually tried to imitate his style, he married a super model, was in a guess jeans commercial, and was a millionaire. Rob Liefeld absolutely made a deal with the devil.

wish he would have added a comment explains why this series was canned instead of just a tweet thread but here’s why the series was canned.
1.They’re not a lot of really horrible comic art out there and they don’t want to do ten episodes of Rob Liefeld or Ken Penders
2.Despite hundreds of submissions a lot of them don’t really provide bad art
3.They don’t want to feel like a dick because artist work really hard with bad deadlines and this series just highlights the worse out of their portfolio(all though I don’t think it would be too big of a problem as long as they made that clear and maybe montage some of their really good work, like what he did with that one Wolverine image or Injustice panel).
4.Comments for this series are vitriolic.
