  • This video covers the installation of a pair of 12v water tank level meters (SEE LINKS BELOW FOR ITEMS USED). The water meters mean the capacity of the water tanks can be checked with just a push of the button on the meter read out panel rather than having to get out the vehicle to manually check the level. The waste water tank also gets a meter probe which will illuminate when the waste water tank is nearing full. The fresh & waste water tank meters are quick and easy to fit and save a lot of hassle in the long run.

    A long shot. Can you tell me what size was the plastic nut securing the meter in place. Thank you.

    nice video, please could you tell me what size fuse and cable width you used for the water guage, thanks for making the time to make these videos 🛠😻

      The cable thickness can be almost anything as its extremely thin on the meters, but I used 11a for almost all my cabling, overkill but thats not a problem with a 3a fuse in the fuseboard for it

    Very informative video, i need to cut the sensors in mine to fit in the tank as it is shallower, do you know wether i need to cut the 2 longest sensors at the same length or do i need to trim one of them shorter? or even cut the 3 sensors to create an even length between them?

      They need to be different lengths to show min-med-max on the gauge

    Great video, I’ve just installed both of my tanks and connected the wiring, the fresh is fine showing it’s empty, but my waste water tank has the red light on as if it’s full. Watching your video this morning I’ve just noticed I put the bolt in through the outside but the black plastic fitting on the inside and screwed from the outside of the tank, would this be causing the red light to stay on the water water gauge when it’s empty?

      I have the same issue. Did you resolve it? I'm stumped

      @@leebrown9680 hi there, we did get it sorted, we swapped the fitting around and put the plastic on the outside which had been causing the issue. Good luck

    That water tank looked pretty low to the ground. Im wondering how ti would cope with hitting a rock.

      Its low but clears local speed bumps without scraping so no problems so far, worst case scenario is just to replace with a smaller one if need be as it is a bit overkill having 250l fresh water

    Curious to know how you clean inside a baffled tank?

    • @TheCampervanBuilder
      @TheCampervanBuilder  4 роки тому

      There is a large access hole on the top of the tank, which can be lowered if wanted, or just flush through with sterilising formula to clean tank and pipes
