    Thank you!! Awesome info
    I’m hoping to get into Easterns eventually too but sticking to westerns for now. Currently have 17 eggs incubating from 1 girl and she’s going into shed again for a double!
    Keeping making hog vids!!

      Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words! 17 eggs is incredible! That's a heck of a clutch. Please keep me updated. I'd love to see how they turn out. Hopefully I can start breeding next year, so if you stay tuned you'll see my progress with that.

    Great interview 👍 there definitely isn't enough hognose content on UA-cam for my liking! Lol 😄😂 so thankyou for this and as always interested to see your next videos Germaine 👍

      Thank you so much for the compliment, Spite! I really appreciate the compliment. I always look forward to Germaine's videos as well and it was cool to get a bit of a sneak peek into what's coming up next.

      @@ErikNonIdle absolutely! Just talking to my partner now about Germaines pairings for next year! I'm betting Sassy proves out Arctic 😀

      @@hognosebestuk I hope she does! Germaine's got some nice ones on the horizon for sure. The one that just shed out with that olive color is gorgeous. And like he said during the interview, that snake is my snake's brother, so I am hoping she gets a bit of that color, too!

      @@ErikNonIdle yeah he does. I'm looking forward to seeing what pops out from the Easterns too! It's exciting waiting for first growth sheds. They definitely change quite a bit I think at that point 😀

      @@hognosebestuk Aye! I wanted to make sure to ask him about his easterns since that's even MORE rare on UA-cam than hognoses! I don't think I'll be getting one personally for a while, but I'd love to see them increase in popularity. I love their coloration!

    Yeah, the Ball Python market vs the Hognose market is a HUGE difference. On morph market, there are currently 2,475 Ball Python breeders while there are only 213 Hognose breeders. CRAZY! Although I was surprised that there are only 197 Corn snake breeders, less than Hogs.

    • @ErikNonIdle
      @ErikNonIdle  Рік тому

      Wow! I didn't realize how few (relatively) corn snake breeders there are! Corn snakes are great. I saw a few at the reptile show yesterday and they were making me want one. Never owned one personally, but there are so many varieties!

      @tyrannosaurusreptiles Рік тому +1

      @@ErikNonIdle Yeah, when I go to reptile expos and see the Corn snakes, I am so tempted to buy one! I'll get one someday, but right now I need to be focusing on Hogs and K. Sand Boas.

      @@tyrannosaurusreptiles Same here. There's a billion things that interest me, but when it comes to living creatures (and business) it's important to stay focused. There was a guy at the reptile show selling me on Carpet Pythons. I am actually gonna do an interview with him, I think. He made me really really want one, but I have to be realistic and not get too distracted by all the cool animals. There are so many!

    Hognose mouths are hard to open! I've heard just for health reasons you should open a snakes mouth when you get it to check it over. So between that and knowing that I might need to assist feed later I've opened their mouths a couple times.
    I tried to open my little kingsnakes mouth and it was so easy.

      Hmm. I have never attempted that myself. I am definitely going to look into that, though. I look forward to Germaine's assist feeding video because it sounds like he's been practicing and come up with a good technique that works. Thanks for watching!
