    Love your films, it is my dream to visit Japan. I really like the alleyways and the quiet streets where the homes are, I can’t imagine myself walking home after a night out... keep up the films.

    How is your video so smooth even though your walking, it creates such a beautiful effect with the amazing quality! Thank you for taking the time to post such a great content! I am in love with the Japanese people and culture, and I’ve always wanted to see the city before I go in person, so thank you for helping make that a reality 🙏🏾💕

    Thanks ! I love Ikebukuro, I stay always here when I'm visiting Tokyo, mix of busy Shinjuku and calm areas (and lost a lot of time in Tokuy Hands ^^)

      Would you recommend this area over Shinjuku if money was not an issue? I am visiting for 17 days solo and I am afraid that if I stay at Shinjuku I will go mental. On the other side I don't want to miss any action during night and would like to see a bit of buzz and be able to move around.

    After I watched an anime called Durarara, I've been in Ikebukuro twice and even though there's not really anything surreal there, it really fascinates me... having this 'magical' feel to it.

    I thought Akihabara would have been my favorite place in Tokyo but for some reason I really miss Ikebukuro the most.

    Might sound strange, but I miss those traffic light noises a lot.
    I think it's kind of cute and it really felt empty when I got back to Belgium with silent traffic lights.

    11:30 - Never forget that tree outside AOYAMA, a bird relieved himself straight down on my neck. Had to run into closest arcade's WC to wipe myself off. Be aware ! lmao

    I love you video but wish you are able to add the small map with a cursor showing there you're on the map as you walk (like in video game), this could help me figure out the direction when trying to explore the area.

    S-P-L-E-N-D-I-D! Ikebukuro looks great and you caught its charm. Never been there, but this place looks a great place for young people, a less popular for foreign tourists,, but a great alternative of Shinjuku or Roppongi. Maybe I'm totally wrong, this is just an impression made by seeing clips. Excuse me in advance!

    • @NIPPONWANDERINGTV

      Thank you! Ikebukuro is a town with lot of students. As you say, there are few tourists, but it's familiar to Japanese.

    What equipment do you use to capture your street video? Is there a post that talks about how you video these scenes?

  • @elkysunnykuri
    @elkysunnykuri 7 років тому +1

    東京生まれ東京育ちの、自分も、長年日本を離れていて、これでは、迷子になりそうですね、デモこうして。今の東京のストリートを、歩くように見れるのは、うれしい限りです、なかなか日本に。帰る時間もできず、たまに、有っても、仕事で、せわしなく、あちこちめぐるばかり。しばらく見ていると、昔の面影がそこかしこに、見えて、懐かしい思いがします。

    i'm always wondering how does japan keep the streets with no cars and trucks when they're so densely populated and full of shops and businesses? the roads are also not incredibly wide and huge. korea seems to be another way round.

    • @bakerenko
      @bakerenko 6 років тому

      In 70th streets was ovecrovded with cars and there was SMOG all around in Tokyo. Now having and parking a car in Tokyo is strictly for richiest only. taxes are unhuman.

      Only Tokyo is really like that. Most of other provinces are pretty rural looking. Tea and rice growing everywhere, lots of parks, etc.
