I seem to remember that this kit also comes with the ambient light trims for the rear doors. It would be nice if you had mentioned how to give power to the rear doors... since it is the most laborious to do, through the plug-in connectors of the rear doors. Anyway, nice video dude.
The older version of this kit had RGB wire that runs to the front door through rocker panel and required to connect and sync witht he front door. The newer version of this kit has syncing controller just like C-Class ambient lights and all 4 doors lights sync with master controller on the front.
How did you connect the rear door lights? I can not connect a wire through the hole as on the front door. There is another connector and no space for additional wires

Hello, I got similar kit for Mercedes A220. My main confusion is the OBD activation and installing that blackbox module. Will ambient light menu appear in the menu only after installation of the black-box module? I tried to activate Ambient Light using Chinese OBD activator, but didn't install module yet - after activation the new menu does not show up. It confuses me if the activator didn't work well, or I need to install the module first. Thanks!
You will need software update for this.
I don't know what model of kit you will have, but you won't be able to control it at least through the menu on the screen. This video kit or similar, is only controlled through the steering wheel.
Yo, I bought a turbine airvent kit from China, it states that it's plug and play, I already have an ambient kit done, would it be plugged in via the OEM via bypass on the door or the control box they put in on the other side of the door ?
Hi CJ, most rpobably you will need additional wirings for the airvents to source it to the power and color controller straight from Mercedes command. You can also use OBD port for this.
@LightGuys_GTA Wrong, it runs through the same control box that's linked to the doors, only issue is timing the lights so they match the doors but takes like 2mins to do.
So all the power runs from that module in the passenger door?

You require a code software to be uploaded to the existing system using OBD port.

How do you change the colors for the ambient the PFL a-class the 4.5 ntg multimedia can't do that.

A female wire connector from passenger door runs to the interior.
Hi.On the dash trim.which part did you grind.the inner or outside line plastic?cos mine is closed up too
