Trooper Paul isn't even qualified to answer a call at the police station. He wouldn't take or relay the message correctly. He wanted to make sure they were on "a clear path ". The only thing clear is his incompetence, training and knowledge to do the assigned job efficiently.
I think he did a great job of CREATING a scene that he was told to. As far as what actually happened, he has no clue. I mean, he cannot definitellelly say.

So the person who was supposed to recreate the incident just took their word and imagined how the body was laid on the ground? He testified that he didn't even see a picture of the body. Just a trooper showed him where the body was. What happened to crime scene photographers?

Wow, Trooper Paul seems VASTLY underqualified to be an 'accident reconstruction expert' - sad and embarrassing. I doubt anyone in the court could understand/conceptualize what he thinks occurred during the supposed pedestrian strike. And of course, he doesn't have an animation/diagram which ILLUSTRATES the supposed strike.
I actually felt bad for the guy. He was shaking so hard he couldn’t hold the pointer.

He was obviously in a panicked state. He knew what he was talking about, but I think he is not used to testifying. I think he went blank a few times because of his nerves. Jackson was so rude and disrespectful and his questions were unnecessary for the job Trooper Paul was asked to do. I felt sorry for him.

Man, I’ve never seen a more nervous, inarticulate witness in my entire life. Not even close. He is bar none the worst expert witness in any court in the history of America. You will never see anything like this again. I feel sorry for the guy. Proctor says that the Troopers like to “needle” each other. This guy is gonna be a pin cushion in the department for many years.

Why not use a Manikin about the height of victim. PUT WHERE BODY was found? Take measurements from manikin to flag pole, bush, fire hydrant, sidewalk, curb, and etc.? ? TAKE pictures at ground level.

This whole scene was botched. I don’t understand how they could entertain a reconstruction essentially based off of the Troopers “imagination” of where his body would be and coordinates based off of accounts from people that weren’t at the scene or what was said around the office. No photos? No actual measurements? Come on! I bet they can’t bring reputable experts because they have no documentation to go off of.
Be careful of sneaky attorneys who try to put things in your head that aren’t true. The judge has scolded him a few times about that, but he keeps doing it.

They used a rake and blower to look at the crime scene so it could have been there but I’m sure it never was. It’s a set up and this is hilarious and embarrassing for the police involved

I saw that too. My heart went out to the Okeefe family even more the whole time this inexperienced and unqualified person testified. If I were them, I would have let the prosecutors had it after court was done for the day. Inexcusable!!! I’m not even a physics major and I knew the answers to what AJ was asking about basic physics 🤦🏼♀️
Plus I have worked in the medical field a long time AND I’ve done dog rescue, still do rescue, (mainly large breeds) and those marks on JOK shirt sleeve and arm are so consistent with a dog attacking his arm. Dogs go for what’s the most available when attacking; arms, legs and yes throats if reachable but mainly arms and legs first. I think John was protecting himself or got into an altercation with one of the men (or Colin) at the house, possibly the basement since all the renovations and the dog lunged at John, to protect who John was fighting. The dog would have been close to Colin and the other Alberts. Plus why the need to rehome Chloe so soon after???
I can’t wait to see what the defense has to present. I’m NOT saying that I think Karen is 100% innocent, because first of all she should never have gotten behind the wheel of that SUV in her state. I just can’t see how his arm injuries were caused by her SUV.

I've never seen so many amateurs in a court room. The prosecution and the expert witnesses has been a complete embarrassment to the entire judicial system. The only prepared professionals are the defense! What is going on here?!

Retired law enforcement and a certified accident investigator/reconstruction. This trooper was cooking himself on the stand. Sounds like they didn’t want to calculate the impact and throw distance etc. this just looks terrible for the prosecution.

The judge needs to stop defense attorney from the personal attacks on the witness. This just shows the defense has nothing.
What exactly do you think the DEFENSE is supposed to have? When a witness is lying they deserve what the defense gives. He has every right to flesh out a lie and make the witness nervous. Also, if you KNOW your job and you are telling the truth, nothing the defense says should be taken as a personal attack.

What about the driving event From, Jen McCabe's house back to, John O'Keefe's house? Where the girls all went and got into one car to go look for John? Did you miss a possible key cycle?
Using online “car crash calculator” with prosecution inputs: 24mph is 38.6kms… and a 100kg man being hit at this speed experiences 143 kilonewtons. So Okeefe experiences an acceleration of about 146g (gravitation acceleration) which feels like being pressed by 14,650 kilograms. I reckon that’d produce some bruising & a broken bone or two.
His injuries were mostly internal, starting with a skull fracture that led to other smaller fractures, which caused hemorrhaging in the brain. There were other injuries too.

@@Swt5ihrok True. Here are my thoughts on getting things started. The prosecutor’s arguments often seem convoluted, leading to confusion rather than clarity. Additionally, several witnesses presented by the prosecution appear either underqualified or poorly prepared, if not coming across as untrustworthy. Do I think Karen is innocent - I could never make that call. Do I believe there is a cover-up? The prosecution's approach is to call so many witnesses to clarify that so many people would not ruin their lives as part of a cover-up. Am I becoming very sceptical if I was a juror - yes. In my opinion, the prosecution is fatiguing the jury and not presenting a solid case. What’s your thoughts?

I have gone into this with an open mind (just as a juror should). I’m still taking in the evidence.
I’m leaning toward Karen may have done it by accident. I haven’t seen any evidence this far that proves she did it intentionally. (As the State has charged her).
I also think it’s still possible that something else happened to him. And then the poorly executed investigation completely muddied the water even if she did indeed do it.
I have followed this trial from the beginning.
I feel there are so many angles the defense are putting forward. Tunnel vision is obvious. They can't prove what actually happened in the house just conjecture. The testimonies are worthless no help at all. Experts don't seem court experienced so that's a fail. I feel this trial is a farce so far.
Guilty as charged. The evidence has already proved her defense doesn’t compute. Applying Occam’s Razor helps too.🙃

@ 01:56:30 possibly the 4th time I heard DA witness giving incorrect weight of a LX570. Curb weight is about 5800 lbs, the gross vehicle weight is 7400 lbs (max loaded w ppl, stuff, etc). That incorrectly increases momentum calculations by almost 50%. The lack of knowledge, professionalism, ability, etc by most of these investigators is appalling and obviously calls into question any expert opinion by them.

He was probably waiting for the right time to launch himself in the air about 30 feet. She must have been going about 125mph in reverse. I have seen a person hit by a speeding car going about 60mph.... it was awful. Very little damage to the car but the person was sent through the air, and they landed all the way across the street on the other side of the road....it was a four-lane highway.

No one did any investigation as to how the officer GOT to be dead on the lawn. It was just that they took it for what it was and the investigation started there on the lawn...Well, if I was a juror I want to know how he got there in more detail and unfortunately a car backing up at that speed and for that distance just doesnt cut it. His injuries were beyond that of a corner of a vehicle hitting someone. The vehicle did not hit him head on with all the weight striking him.
