- Hey, it's Gail and David! Join us as we circle Canada and the United States entirely by train. Starting in Winnipeg, we will take trains to Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, New York City, Toronto and, finally, back to Winnipeg. Did we mention..entirely by train!
In Part Three, we leave Vancouver on Amtrak's Cascades train and cross the Canada/U.S. border on our way to Seattle. This is our first ever Amtrak train experience, a fairly gentle introduction on this short 4.5 hour ride in Executive Coach class.

I love train travel-logs (is that a word?). I look forward to your future posts, the good, the bad, and the amazing. I hope you had a good time in Vancouver, my hometown!
Thanks! We are in Vancouver every Christmas for a family get-together. It's a favourite city of ours.
Thanks for the video. I'm gonna visit Seattle next month via train. The video will help me know what to expect.
Glad to be helpful. I can guarantee you will enjoy Seattle.
My wife and I are looking to visiting both Seattle and Vancouver BC by way of the Amtrak Cascadia from Oregon in the near future. Thanks for your tips and video.
Thanks. Enjoy your trip to Vancouver. We will be doing it again in December after traveling on the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle.
I'm excited just watching you guys be excited for your train haha! I did one from Toronto to NYC last year and it ended up being a bit too long and a bit too busy but a great experience overall!
Thanks! Stay tuned, we will be taking the NYC to Toronto train in an upcoming episode.
Beautiful train station.
Yes, it was quite the surprise to find ourselves in such a beautiful station.
Don't spend that $3 all at once!
It's pretty funny to us as well. We chuckle every time we watch this video. Of course, we did spend it all at once...three dollars doesn't buy much!
that is not "real amtrak" and is the worst train ride i have ever been on.
@@gavinsheridan4680 i road the Olympia from vancover, bc to Seattle. the train was a dump, i paid for first class upgrade for my elderly father; it was a dump and my seat was missing the padded armrest ( i had bare metal with some dry glue and screws)
