If you add more decoration in the parts where it's needed (especially in the first part where the background is pretty much blank/too static), then this would be perfect for Space Gauntlet!
W level. And I thought I had a chance :') Also heads up: Max difficulty for the contest is Insane. This miiight be teetering on the edge of demon. Still, amazing work!
Doubt this will even place, because the GD community is way too talented. But I like seeing creators like this trying. So here's my advice, don't give up and give it your all, as you might one day be much better than you think.
Great work! But it doesn't feel finished yet. My main thing is that the background doesn't fit super well with the block designs for most of the level. The background is super detailed and looks great, but since the block designs are much simpler, they don't feel right together sometimes. Even if you choose not to change either, I would at least make the background move slowly to the left throughout the level so it's not static. Still, nice level! :)
If you want to improove the level-and you do-than here's what you should do: -nerf & balance the gameplay. Some parts are undoubtebly demon hard, mostly the ships & the duals, and others are just a few free clicks, like 1:53 & 0:51. And if you're not sure if you did so well, get some playtesters. -add effects. Make the background puls, make some more camra controls, make small moving details inside big strutures. Otherwise it's just gonna be boring to look at. -make more BGs. Reusing the same ones in different parts can work, but not here. You made such cool BGs, so make more. -IMPROOVE THE BLOCK DESIGNS. I respect you for making multiple designs, but some of them are kinda mid(ahem 0:57 AHEM 1:28 AHEM 1:35). -make it dark darker yet darker. Space has very little light, so this level should have little light too. This can also help the designs look nicer and make the level more atmospherish. But remember-nothing in creating matters, as long as you're having fun from it. If you feel like making the level isn't intresting to you and that you're just finishing it to not disapoint people-it's fine, people might be disapoint, but you should just have fun in this game.
the background art is actually pretty good! the gameplay and movements are a bit janky, you could also improve in making it look consistent decoration-wise, it also needs some air decoration, pulses or even just a foreground to compliment the block design, the idea's presented in this level are actually very creative but could've been executed better, this has a lot of potential tbh, keep going.
Honestly, this has many great ideas! Just not the current standards. The song switch was very clunky, many parts are very offsync and dont match with the beat. But my advice is; just keep creating, dont focus on creating the perfect level averytime, trust your own creativity.
Looks bad maybe? The level itself is not bad at times, but it falls short, bad colors, monotonous structures, no dynamics, smoke covers almost the entire level and you can't see anything, later it seems to get better, but the glow is soapy, there are almost no movies. (i'm not speal english very well, so I'm sorry, but the translation is crooked)
Honestly, this is very bad. The gameplay is terrible, the deco looks disgusting, and some parts look empty + it exceeds the maximum acceptable difficulty for the gauntlet (9*). So this level is not only not worthy for the gauntlet, it is not even worth a star rate. This situation only can be fixed by rebuilding the level.
@@SlymiiGD this is just honest criticism without embellishment. My goal was not to insult the creator or his level. I'm just saying it as it really is.
@@Delory_04 Whenever you give feedback like this give us some tips to improve it maybe like is there certain parts that feel worse than others ,or what is specifically wrong with the gameplay?

Edge of being a demon? This is straight up a medium to hard demon
yeah this is way too hard for the gauntlet

Now thats what I want to here

This is so cool! I can't ever make that in a thousand years
looks epic! good luck!

Nice level! It seems too difficult to be eligible for the gauntlet though.
The first background reminds me of Daft Punk - Discovery❤

We still have 4 months to work with our levels... Keep it up!
Just a bit empty... good luck!
Add more decoration, I think that your level can become a medium demon
Bro forgot demons arent allowed on the cc
SOOO COOOL but no air deco and some of parts are soooo empty so u shoud add more air deco or just make glow laser effects
Needs lots of work. Also I don't think it's even worthy since it needs to be 9* and below. This looks like easy-medium demon tbh

rude
didnt need to be harsh, he needs posotive critisism, this just throws his work towards the level down the drain, love to see u do better!

good try, gameplay looks AI generated though
