That Ork Truk play was wicked! Such insane skill by that player. The Eldar player did exceptionally well to whether that storm and stay in the game early on. Hats off to them
best Dow 3 replay by far! I hope the game gets dev support for time to come. I can see it becoming really great with free patches and some faction expansions thrown in over time.
Holy shit this Ork player's skill level was intimidating! He was far out-classing the Eldar player in terms of micro and this was a joy to watch! Still, Eldar are kinda OP at their current state, so they stood up against this amazing player for much longer than they should. Well played Orks!
Honestly, they're both pretty bad. I think those are the top two things that need to be changed right away. Swords have 0 place in Tier 1, and AM could probably use a cost increase as well, and wraithlord doctrine is utterly busted. Nerf both.
they aren't actually. They are much more resource intensive then an eldar force with much more power. It's Jonah that ruins eldar. The Eldar have roughly a minute to make a ruch happen tween scorpions (the best 2 point elite) hitting the field, and jonah hitting the field. Jonah is a hard counter for elder (and ork) early game. This stalls out the Eldar's superior early game long enough for the SMs to tech up to tier 2 and bring out stuff Eldar have trouble fighting, particularly land speeders
Really awesome game, though in the earlier stages of the game it's utterly disgusting to see how much more an Ork player has to do and pull-off to retain an even footing with an Eldar player. Relic always did have a hard on for the space elves though. Still, he managed to follow it through all the way into a win, so major kudos to him. Really really nice match!
mate, the cooldown on the gate teleport is normally 90seconds. However, the wraithlord has a doctrine where (even without the needing to summon him) he reduces the "relocate" on webways to 10seconds, and they can relocate in tier 1 (and they also regenerate health). This doctrine i believe is currently bugged, and it actually reduces the cooldown to 1second. It will be fixed probably monday or the first balance patch. it's a bit too strong right now anyway
I really want to like DOW3. The pre-building, the gameplay, the abilities, and the progress of play all make sense. My problem is that once a fight starts, I can't tell what the hell is going on, or who is who in the fight. Elites, ranged, melee, it all just kinda blends together and I can't tell who's doing what. Very hard to read.
I'm not sure, but I think the art style of the game still needs to grow on me more. I find myself still hoping for more DoW2 matches, and hopefully the faction war segment will keep on going. Especially hopeful that the elite mod will get updates as well. I don't know is it me that just thinks this?
I use the same music that I use for my DoW2 casts, some of which is DoW2 music. DoW3 doesn't play music during multiplayer battles, just some ambient sound. Even if they did, I probably couldn't use it because it's under copyright.
Capoch was also a pro DOW2 player. He went under the alias IamCapoch and Akhen(I believe). He played for DA and was in my opinion, the best tyranid player in 1v1. Generally he was quite good with alot of factions, but his tyranids ... ugh, that was some nasty business.
They are counted as vehicles. The game does not have a concept of "heavy infantry". There are only two types of units - infantry and vehicles. Nobs and Wraithguard are vehicles. They use vehicle armor ("heavy armor") and benefit only from vehicle upgrades.
Cause the current Relic is really bad at terminology? And yes, most buildings are treated as vehicles as well, which is you need anti-vehicle weaopnry to do full damage to them (something that's very common sense) - but that's not really relevant since the unit upgrades don't apply to them - neither of them. As an aside, something that's easy to miss is that unlike all the other upgrades, infantry health upgrades scale much better. General upgrade progression is 15% 15% 15%. Infantry Health is 15% 30% 45%.
Because all weapons that are made to destroy vehicles are good against vehicles in DoW 3? And since the thing defining them as vehicles as opposed to infantry is the fact that they've got heavy armor? There is no difference between a predators unit type and a wraithguards unit type in terms of armor. The game calls one of them a vehicle and the other heavy infantry - but functionally they are identical. The same weapons are equally effective against both - weapons that happen to be dedicated anti-vehicle weapons. Lascannons, rockits, power fists, meltas, d-cannons, etc. are anti-tank weaponry - and DoW 3 treats them that way (mostly). That's why Relic calling them heavy infantry in the game is misleading - mechanically the distinction is almost meaningless and it leads to MANY people getting confused and thinking that they need infantry upgrades to upgrade them, since the game calls them heavy INFANTRY. The only actual difference is the fact that heavy infantry can bleed models and vehicles can't, but that's immediately obvious anyway since they are clearly a squad of models.
You can say that people like me should read the description better, but to say that INFANTRY upgrades not upgrading heavy INFANTRY isn't misleading is equally stupid.
It does to orcs and eldar, to space marines only if you pick a doctrine though. Waaaagh! towers for orcs are a big mechanic, their pushes are also determined by them very often. For eldar buildings can teleport which you can use for aggressive front line support, also the webway gate is vital to keep your army mobile and in long games you can even teleport your army through them. Space marines can use buildings to reinforce if you pick a doctrine, but the buildings are the least important factor for them compared to other factions. I would say space marines get the most out of listening posts though because space marines at least right now need to be played quite defensively early game.
It really doesn't. All of the mechanics that are buildings are either already in the "base less" DoW 2 (Webway gates) or could have been easily replicated without having to build production structures with builder units (Waagh Towers - although it just occurs to me those are already in DoW 2 as well). It doesn't even have defensive structures, which is the whole point of having a base in the first place. DoW 2 has deeper base building than DoW 3 by a large margin.
Holy crap, that Trukk micro! I could never in a million years manage that!
but that is that Trukk ? artillery, escape, transport.....
Sar Dauk
It's a support unit
And he invested lots of stuff into it to be this good
That Ork Truk play was wicked! Such insane skill by that player. The Eldar player did exceptionally well to whether that storm and stay in the game early on. Hats off to them
This was an utterly spectacular game. Just wow. Amazing cast indrid, keep it up!!
Indrid pumping out these vids 'ere we go, 'ere we go, 'ere we go again!
that's some great usage of a wartrukk
best Dow 3 replay by far! I hope the game gets dev support for time to come. I can see it becoming really great with free patches and some faction expansions thrown in over time.
Never get tired of watching Roks be carried around in the middle of the opponent's army whilst they panic. Good stuff.
Easily the best DoW3 game I've seen so far. Seems like the US tourney had better players.
DoW3 multiplayer is by far the most entertaining in recent years!!!
that orc play! enjoyed this match was the first one I saw where I had the feeling a player has full understanding of what he does.
Holy shit this Ork player's skill level was intimidating! He was far out-classing the Eldar player in terms of micro and this was a joy to watch! Still, Eldar are kinda OP at their current state, so they stood up against this amazing player for much longer than they should. Well played Orks!
INsane orc play.
Eldar aren't OP though.
SM ASM spam with swords is far worse.
DId you even see that truck bomb damage?
Honestly, they're both pretty bad. I think those are the top two things that need to be changed right away. Swords have 0 place in Tier 1, and AM could probably use a cost increase as well, and wraithlord doctrine is utterly busted. Nerf both.

I hope to see more games featuring Koof, dem truks man!
Indrid, you are a god damn beast. Thank you for the all the casting.
Amazing Orc control and push.... definitely watching this game a few more times!
Quality Cast, great to see what these armies can do in some good players hands
Finally, a proper DoW3 game that isn't a one-sided stomp! A bit annoyed the Eldar player forgot that you can hide the Core at the end, though... lol
Best one so far Indrid
loving the casts bro! i have been watching your vids since the early dow 2 days. Keep them coming :p
Amazing game, DoW3 is a lot of fun both to play and watch, keep it up!!
Wow this one was great - loved seeing that early game Trukk usage. Stuff like this that makes you wanna switch factions!
This might be the most epic DoW3 gameplay yet.
Although the Eldar player had poor choices in unit composition in the late game IMO.
I love how the wartrukk shoots troops out of it. Super orkie and fun. Sounds a little silly like a jack-in-the-box popping open, but still fun:)
So many uploads, I don't think I can handle this this much!!!
Ok. I must admit...this one was pretty awesome ! ^^
Really awesome game, though in the earlier stages of the game it's utterly disgusting to see how much more an Ork player has to do and pull-off to retain an even footing with an Eldar player. Relic always did have a hard on for the space elves though.

Really really nice match!
That Weirdboy moment at 26:10! 0_0
yep, best 1v1 so far!
pretty exciting, that trukk micro in the early game.
So much fun watching those two players!
Awesome match Indrid, keep it comming!
Both players played very well. Great game.
This is really fun game to play , and one of the best rts game I have ever plaid !.
That was an awesome game such good play by the orc player. Im impressed with that game!
Great game if you're skilled! Nice casting also, was seeking something like that. Take my lois.
Very awesome game. Great cast!
Great cast , Great match!
Keep 'em coming Indrid! So far besides you I only see some Russian dudes casting DoW3.
i really enjoy your casts... even dow III sounds a bit more interesting if casted by you :D
Best DOW3 game i have ever seen but average onesided game in terms of DOW2.
This ork player is literally A BEAST !
nasty bad ass ork player Indrid u r the best keep casting dow 3
Dow 3 is awesome ! Nice casting too :)
really awesome game, great ork plays
Thank you Indrid for a busy Sunday.
Damn you are on fire today
Dat insane Wartrakk utility.
Wow Koof absoloutly humiliated Capoch, you could SEE the skill difference between them, jesus.
ORKS! ORKS! ORKS! ORKS!
DoW 1 reference )))

so painful seeing that wraithlord get stunlocked

all these dire avengers did was stand around and watch
around 26:12 what stunned the Wraithlord to stop it from charging?
Rabbit Bahi reasons
Tells you something when 80% of the casts is "Orks vs. something"
I'm not sure, but I think the art style of the game still needs to grow on me more. I find myself still hoping for more DoW2 matches, and hopefully the faction war segment will keep on going. Especially hopeful that the elite mod will get updates as well. I don't know is it me that just thinks this?
Feeding Killa Kans scrap let's them store up to six rockets from default three.
Insane game !!!
stunning game !! gg
I think I heard music from DoW II in the first minutes - did they re-use it?
I use the same music that I use for my DoW2 casts, some of which is DoW2 music. DoW3 doesn't play music during multiplayer battles, just some ambient sound. Even if they did, I probably couldn't use it because it's under copyright.
Oh, I did not know that. Thanks for the clarification. Honestly, I think this music works well with the game and it needs good atmospheric music.
What was this dude doing with his Wraithlord??? use the fucking shield next time.. smh...
Great game.
is it me or do dire avengers seem to do hardly any damage?
love this keep it up
Crazy ork micro
I can barely see whats going on
Who said DoW 3 is casual?
16.31 What is that music from?
ya I wanna know too cmon for da boyz
is this Capoch from SC2?
thanks :)
I dont get the truck. OP!
Avatar of Khaine would be cool to see
Capoch is an old SC/SC2 Pro.
Capoch was also a pro DOW2 player. He went under the alias IamCapoch and Akhen(I believe). He played for DA and was in my opinion, the best tyranid player in 1v1. Generally he was quite good with alot of factions, but his tyranids ... ugh, that was some nasty business.
To bad that Koof is only calling nerfs to factions he does not play...
DOW 2 OR DOW 3 ?
Ork and Eldar both made alot of misstakes, still ork won because of eldar was overconfident with his webway doctrine bug abuse.
Hot sweetness!
dat trukk
It was an excellent game
Why is every battle against orcs.
They're counted as vehicles?! No wonder my wraiths get fucked up so easily. I never do the vehicle upgrades cause the eldar vehicles are such sheit.
They are counted as vehicles. The game does not have a concept of "heavy infantry". There are only two types of units - infantry and vehicles. Nobs and Wraithguard are vehicles. They use vehicle armor ("heavy armor") and benefit only from vehicle upgrades.

Eldar very noob omg
specials are way to OP
Hey Indrid I just send you a high tier 1v1 game in dow3 you should check it out ;) ;)
that was the best game so far love how they abused the mechanics to the max.
If eldar lose to orc = eldar is pretty bad (that's reality of current patch)
Check out replays of last eu esl tournament, there was lots of epic games
the base building looks so pointless and doesnt seem to add anything to the game.
It does to orcs and eldar, to space marines only if you pick a doctrine though.

God this game is boring, it basically boils down to who can get the OP crap out faster.
