Gosh this song by Garth Brooks is really a great song.... and remembering it years ago..... Brian and Kian was trying to rehearse this song and after Brian left they really made a cover of it.....pretty interesting.... well they made justice out of it anyway... 'cause the original singer sung it well and I do love the original......Shane is really good and I applaud him so as Mark.....

The thing that amuses me is that I bet the vast majority of Westlife fans would turn their noses up at Country Music but as soon as they record a Country song or cover a Country singer's song, then it suddenly becomes decent music.
Several Boyzone/Ronan Keating/Westlife songs have been Country covers but I'm just not sure everyone else is aware of it, but it seems Louis Walsh is a big Country fan so I assume he picks out certain songs for them.
"Daytime Friends, Nighttime Lovers" is still one of my favorite Westlife covers.

amazed66 I'm not part of the vast majority then, loved westlife and boyzone growing up, they were the boybands for me and now I adore country, really love them doing this song, although I think martina McBride cover is tied, don't really care for the original but that's just my choice
as for others of these I find them better in the original country artitsts

This was originally a Garth Brooks song but I love this cover better. They have better vocals and you can hear more emotion in the vocals. I am aware that they covered alot of country songs and I usually prefer the Westlife covers. There's a few exceptions but they usually nail the songs better.
