Lance Russell is among the very best commentators in the history of the business. He had as much to do with “selling” professional wrestling as real as the the wrestlers themselves. His weekly banter with Jimmy Hart was must watch TV on Saturday mornings. I have a feeling they were buddies off camera LOL.
Seeing Lawler in a match where He's completely SQUASHED is, well, sooooo gratifying to watch...Jerry "The jobber" Lawler, lol...My favorite part starts at 11:45 and goes to 12:05...The Destroyer jusssst beating on Jerry's head AS it's bobbling around against Destroyer's (I'm sure by this point in the one-sided match) alpha-feelin crotch...I guess the first round of rapid-punches to Jerry's melon felt soooo damn satisfying, that Destroyer decided to give Jerry a second round of em...Destroyer no doubt, had to be "tinglin" from the bursts of testosterone ricocheting around in his nuts-sac at this point...Jerry just sellllling everything that was dished out to Him, taking the punishment AND humiliation of it, making the Destroyer not only look good!...but feel GOOOOOD too....Jerry The jobber, completely destroyed by The Super Destroyer....An incredibly gratifying, satisfying watch first thing in the morning... Can't help but wonder why Jimmy Hart, and The Super Destroyer needed to get to the back soooo fast for? 🤔... probably to "relieve" themselves like a couple of cocky schoolboy bullies WHILE bantering back and forth about their favorite parts ofJerry's humiliating BEATING!
