A trick I’ve learned put a paper bag in the basket with potatoes and paper bag in with the onions. Believe it or not it really helps. No matter the basket but line it with a paper bag too.
We built our home a few years ago after a tornado destroyed my husband's home when we were engaged. This home was supposed to be temporary until we had time to design our forever home. The economy changed our plans, so I am adding in cabinetry to finally make it ours. The first room we are tackling is our mudroom. I am putting off decluttering and organizing this year until I can see how best to use the storage in the mudroom. We may also add a lower cabinet in our adjoining laundry room. This is our forever home, so we are taking our time and doing it right.
Hi Amy, I have to tell you- I started this morning thinking I was just going to do some straightening in our pantry closet, and ended up spending 3 hrs. rearranging, filling containers, etc. Then I saw you had a new video available and was so happy to see you working on kitchen chores too! Hi my friend. Amy, you hit the nail on the head with this one. I have tried every excuse to keep from doing this. You made it look so easy, so I am rolling up my sleeves. I have been fighting a sinus infection so say a little prayer please. Be Blessed! ❤
I wish I had the energy to do that. I just had a heart attack and catheterization 80% blockage I have a stent and on blood thinners. Hopefully I will soon be able to clean everything.

Hi Amy. Today I decided to clean my celing fans. Living in S CA they are on almost 24/7. They were definitely in need of a good cleaning. My big project is to paint my livingroom. I have the paint & supplies, so just a matter of getting started. I love a clean & organized house. My future project is to have carpet removed & floors throughout. Having 3 dogs it is necessary. I love to organize things, so this video spoke to my heart! I can attest your cleaning solution does a great job on ovens. We bought a brand new oven and the first time I used the self cleaning feature, it burned up. The repair people said never, ever use that feature, it is their most called for repair. It took 4 months to replace the stove under warranty, and the new one has a steam clean feature that is fabulous!
My husband and I just just changed out our doors on our 20 year old condo, we put up 2 panel white doors and I had to paint them, we then did the baseboards, what a amazing outcome it looks so great, I’m 74 and we did this all our self, but it will increase value of our home

Good afternoon Amy! Great video! Loved the cleaning tips as well as cabinet and drawer organizing! You will love the pull out in your cabinet! It’s so convenient! My lower cabinets have them and prior to Christmas, my husband made me a pull out for underneath my kitchen sink for which I’m thankful. It was great to see Scott! Hello Amy, thank you for sharing your video! I also make a homemade cleanser which smells and cleans very well. Regarding your question about projects, well this one is a necessity…having our lateral fixed in our home we purchased. We moved from the northern part of WI on down into KY to be closer to my daughter and her dear husband; they are expecting twin girls in May and my husband and I will be first time grandparents! We are downsizing, so my project is the whole house. A daunting task after living in a big house for 22 years! This helped me remember to just take it one project at a time. I'm a list maker, but when I look at my list I get overwhelmed. Here's to new beginnings. So glad I have God on my side. Thank you for the inspiration, Amy!

I am a list too. So when we downsized from 3200 sqft to 1200 sqft I made lists, but I made a list for each room and taped to each door or cased opening or cabinet door. I would do one room at a time and not move on until the list was done for that room and all the trash or donation items were out of the house. We knew we were downsizing about a year before we actually did so the declutter and donation, etc wasn’t a “hurry up’ process as if we were going to sell and move in 2 months. Even 13 years later, I still go through each room like this and declutter what we just naturally accumulate over the years from just daily living and receiving gifts. We do not regret downsizing at all, we are empty nesters and 2 of our three children live over 200 miles from us, so when we get together for a family gathering, one our children and their family stays with us and the other stays with our daughter who lives just a few miles from us- and our grandkids love the air mattresses in the living room!

So glad you let us watch the installation of the drawer pullout. They are so expensive in a custom cabinet but, I'm sure after watching I could do it myself and save some $$$. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Right now I am caulking and getting ready to paint the new molding in my 4season sunroom/dining room. We removed all of the redwood stained molding and have replaced with primed white molding, it’s looking better already. 😁

While we’ve seen God’s leading in taking this position and the doors He has opened it has been quite an adjustment and I would appreciate your prayers. I was just saying to my daughter this morning that you don’t realize how blessed we are in America until you move overseas to someplace like Africa. Thank you for sharing your homemade cleaner today. We replaced our cabinet doors, but painted our drawers. We have a lot of chipping and I'm not sure why. We used a special paint (alkyd) that was meant for cabinets, so I can't figure it out. WOW - you REALLY deep cleaned that oven! I don't know that I have it in me. I bought a microwave plate cover that has magnets, and it attaches to the ceiling of the microwave - LOVE it! It was a little on the pricey side, picked it up on the A site. Your towel drawer turned out so nice! Still loving my spice jars, thanks to you! My daughter had a lot of fun filling them! Your new onion and potato baskets are very cute! We bought dual level Rev-A-Shelf units at Lowe's for ALL of our lowers, and love them! We can easily get to everything in the bottom cabinets now.

Well, I didn't have a home project planned this year but unfortunately one is happening right this second. There was a flood in my area last week and my crawlspace got water in it. People are here right now working on it. A very expensive unplanned project.

I wouldn't live without one of those non stick oven mats. All the gunk is on the mat and washes easily. Oven floor is always clean!

Looks like your cabinets were "honey oak" so solid wood?? If so, can u you still see the wood grain?
I have a self cleaning. Oven. I put a oven liner. From Walmart. On the top. I have pink. I got from. Walmart

so I don't dare. We have also been through about 6 microwaves. We keep telling our landlord it's an electrical issue but he just buys a new microwave and it blows on the first trial ...men are so stubborn. 😮
