He is so right on Urdu‘s popularity amongst Hindus around the time of partition. My grandfather could not read or write Hindi (we are punjabi Khatris) but he was fluent in reading Urdu and always subscribed to Urdu newspapers. Javed Saab is not only well read with a unique world view, but he has the knack of seeing subtle connections, causes that lead to effects as nothing happens just by chance. A true philosopher- poet-wrier-reformer combination.

We have to removed all religious labels and believe in love, non-violence, help each other, help needy, no to greed/ego/pride and avoid those where there is no possibility of love as only religion. I think we all need follow human social responsibility to uplift others then there will be change

But I’m an agnostic atheist and I like that Javed Akhtar is not hesitating in criticizing Islamism while also pointing out the hypocrisy of the left.
