Never noticed before, but the lore behind the trolls fighting the Aqir really is similar to the War of the Ancients.
Big badass enemy, serving God-like creatures who want to conquer Azeroth, uniting fellow mortal races and calling on Gods or spirits from the wilds to help.... pretty similar indeed

One question caught my attention when the hell did Mythrax the unraveler join the war cause I found a page where it said he was in the troll war but in vol’dun so was he allied with kith’ix or made is own army also how he got to zandalar still don’t know how?

Is Azj'Aqir Zandalar based, or is Ahn Qiraj the upper portion of Azj'Aqir.
Would be interesting to see if we get something Old God/Aqir based in the upcoming expansion. :O

Azj'Aqir is a subterranean Kingdom the Aqir built before rising up and invading Zandalar. We've never seen it in game. AQ is where some of the scattered colonies flee too (in the end map shot, you see some Aqir near Silithus). That'll be covered in the next Zandalari episode!
I would LOVE to see an underground expansion featuring Azjol'Nerub or Azj'Aqir!
