Thank you for posting this. I had a heck of a time finding out how to access the lock cylinder on my '01 Camry (which is basically identical to the '00). The previous owner decided that taking a screwdriver to the lock cylinder made more sense than trying to fix it being stuck in valet mode, so the old cylinder is quite useless and in need of replacement (which it will be soon).

hi, my toyota corolla 2005 trunk, I accidentally put on vallet mode and the keyhole stay on horizontal mode then I closed the trunk...so it's looking I can't open from the driverside trunk opener and from the trunk keyhole, it's stuck it won't move left or right, how do I fixed?, thank u.

@@llmo3312 it happened to my corolla 2006. While turning the key clockwise, bump the top of the trunk with your hand. Worked for me. Hope it helps sum1
