Need to make a drum barrel brush for Rick and Dale. How to make it, get a plastic drum barrel, 3 shop brushes and gravel or dirt. Screw the brushes into the drum on the outside of it. Fill with dirt or gravel. Then they could rub on it like they was doing to your leg.

Im used to seeing cody from whit acres homestead be so gentle with his chicken n ducks n just all his animals n has so much patience with them that this really is a whole different tactic to taking care of animals. Codys birds n everything are so friendly n the way he catches them is just patient n gentle that this just looks like chaos lol.

Farm cats, Lilly, couple more ducks. Cats will keep your feed free of mice, rats, chipmunks, and can sometimes take on possums or at least stand their ground. I would usually spread my cats litter around my garden to keep rodents at bay. The scent of a predator will keep most animals out.
Farm cats aren't actually that good for rodent control, it'd be better to just promote wildlife.
If you feed them too much or domestic them they will be lazy. I've seen farm cats take out the rodent population in less than a month. Then they moved on to the chipmunks and took them out. Eradicated the moles to a manageable population.
@@simpled5755you are right they will kill way more domestic Birds than they will rodents and mice and I bet he will loose a few chicken to the cats too.
@@Fun.Guy.Forager even then, they will kill the native rodent predators and then the rodent populations will really get out of hand, and they won't do a thing about it, whether you neglect them or not
You guys are awesome! We love to see your farm! Duck owner to owner, get them a little kiddie pool so they can dip their entire head in. Ducks need water (at least) deep enough to dunk their entire bill to clean their nostrils. They'll play and make a mess, and you'll have to dump it often, but it's good for them and fun. You guys rock! I hope you see this. 💪🏼

Just a heads up if you haven’t done so or wasn’t planning on it make sure to trim the rabbits nails so they don’t get too long and make it painful for them.
Definitely Dano, and build a big cage to get a peacock. When possible cats would be good. When pond is built definitely need ducks 😂

Please get a livestock guardian dog. Great Pyrenees puppy would be incredible. Also don’t hate the idea of having some barn cats for the mice! They’re surprisingly loyal and very helpful.
