So, I thought of another fun way to use Valkyrie's Call. It's not infinite, but it's plenty breakable, I think. Face-Down creatures count as non-tokens, so any permanent will come back Face-Up when it dies if you have Call on the board, including lands, which is pretty nice. I know people like using Blink effects to do that, but Call sticks around, and it lets you get some value out of the Face-Down creatures by beating down or blocking with them first. It also doesn't require you to devote so much of your deck slots to otherwise useless Blink spells. This also works with Meathook Massacre II, though you have to pay 3 life for that one.
In the first game it would have saved some clicks changing creatures to equip. you wouldn't get the confirm prompt that way. I know it's only 1 more click, but everything to make it more efficient helps.
Imo there are better ways to use the combo. Infinite power creature is fine but direct kill, draw out, or unlimited creatures is better. There is more creatures and enchantments that can accomplish an infinite ping death. There are ways to make infinite creatures too, or use it to bring in fattys that were on the board Via manifest dread, get your creature dead boom it returns flipped. Use the one room that gives a 2/2 every time a creature leaves the graveyard, use the enchantment that gives you a plant token every time something leaves the graveyard. Etc.
hey you could add blue and the dimir invasion that copies a creature in your graveyard then copy aclazotz or the blue god from that cycle and what happens is the gods say return flipped which puts the invasion into play as the copy side so you can add redundancy to the combo where youd have Valkyrie call and infernal then have invasion plus god and then all the cards are ok on their own for the most part and esper is good for holding its own control wise you could run day of judgement since your stuff "cant die"
@@MTG_Creative_Combos I am surprised it doesn't see more play. Maybe once Sunfall rotates. It's basically a white counterspell with upside for a lot of decks.
That’s not true. If the creature land dies it returns to the board as an angel and keeps the flying and +1/+1 counter. I run a Mardu sacrifice deck with Valkeries Call and do this quite a bit.
@walterweller8057 when an object stops being a creature it loses all creature types. Yes, the land will come back with a +1/+1 and flying. But because it's a land and not a creature, it loses the "Angel" type.
Thanks for giving the combo a shot! It’s awesome to see how you built around it. Looking forward to seeing more of your creative combos in action! 🤟
Thanks for the idea!
I will protect this man at all costs.

I guess if you really needed to protect your combo, while going off, Dawn's Truce would work.

The land loses the "Angel" when it's not a creature anymore
makes sense
@MTG_Creative_Combos same with vehicles. Just in case Fast and Furious set has some stuff for you
