I'm so glad that my partner showed me your channel. It's been amazing🤟
Spot on, Im in the middle of slowly binging your videos , while hoping i don't hit the end of them too soon. I love the variety of topics, the beautiful - disturbing images, the text, basically everything....All of which are very pleasing, causing many, many dopaminergic neurons to display firework-like displays in my brain after day after long f****** day of unpraised laborious work. You'll reach 1 mil subs tomorrow. or very soon. Ty for the content ....also shoutout to my boy saxo
-Rafiki
Do you do the art in the videos?
@HorsesOnYT
Looking at the comments, I see that I'm not alone in my current binge of your content. You completely deserve all the attention your channel has gotten, thank you so much and congratulations
Imma be so honest, I feel like I’m a young feverish Victorian child with consumption being told a tall tale by the towns mad man watching this

If this guy keeps it up I’d be shocked if he doesn’t have a million subs by the end of the year especially bc of the ether and Nero video just the art he uses in his video alone is so cool and unique the ether video reminded me of the dishonored video games
Very good
It’s a crime ur channel doesn’t have more subscribers! Awesome content!
I just discovered your content and it's inspiring me on levels I didn't know possible. Amazing work.
"What are your sources?"
Saxo: "jeg fandt fandme på det"

Appreciate the Gustav Klimt rendition at 8:09
It's trippy as hell to see your own drawing of the sea of fog after just watching your video about that painting
I absolutely LOVE the videos where you add your art, it’s simply gorgeous
once again you have made such a gorgeous video, mr horses, and i really have to thank you specifically for your clear diction--it makes the entire story so much more enjoyable knowing exactly what you're saying when you speak. cheers and keep up the great work!! thank you!
Saxogrammaticus. What a name.
Keep it up man, your channel is amazing!
Your stuff is so well done and so underrated
You deserve millions of more subs, keep grinding amazing videos
Great visuals, great pacing as a narrator, and great topics. Awesome channel. Subbed!
The Draugr scene was nice to see.

I didnt even know Hamlet was inspired by anything! What a fascinating video. Thank you so much, this is an important facet of literature I might not have ever know if not for your channel. ❤
Cool that your channel is starting to blow up. You randomly showed up on my home page recently and usually that means one thing lol
Weary means tired. I love your channel. Just recently subscribed. I think you meant wary or leery. Hopefully that is helpful! Your channel rules!
I have never seen anything like how you tell a story. I eat your content like food for the soul. Thank you.
Made the mistake of putting this on for background noise while I fall asleep. I refuse to close my eyes because I'm so invested in the art and the story
Great production and a wonderful voice
I love this channel 🖤
You should read the children of Odin… there’s a particular anecdote or story of a very similar nature towards the end of the book. It involves the child of a guy getting his kingdom usurped by his uncle, the boy lives in the woods as a wild man and bandit. He then becomes strong and infamous, Retuening years later and basically killing the king in combat and all of his close Allies.. he did this by fire as well.. there was no romance but it was written as a childrens tale
I don’t remember all the details unfortunately but the audiobook can be found for free on UA-cam. This must be a different rendition of the story of Amleth
5:42 BONELESS!!
I have been meaning to watch The Northman since the day it came out but I just never got around to it. I kept seeing this video on your channel and I kept thinking that I need to watch that movie before I watch this video. I finally decided enough was enough and that I will watch it tonight and oh my lord, it was amazing! It's everything I love about The Lighthouse but better. Thank you so much for indirectly turning me onto this movie.
Any plans to release these as podcasts? I'd love to listen whilst travelling, UA-cam is pain to keep open in the background. Thanks for great content x
Wow, what a great story! The Northman was a fun movie but after listening to this it could’ve been so much more. Then again maybe a 120 minute movie wouldn’t do justice to the story of Amleth.
pictures botched beowulf thrice already
"I was just pretending to retarded" is a lot older than you think😂😂
Most underrated channel ever
How did Amleth know about the pigs eating human flesh and the daggers in the river?
Taste. It could even be his doing.
What a lovely channel - agree with the comments below, Ive almost watched all of them now and your videos are gorgeous
Psst, just FYI, at 14:06 that should be "wary", not "weary". To be wary of something is to pay heed to it and be cautious of its possible dangers. Weary is a synonym of tired. One should be wary of making mistakes once they become to weary ;)
You're my new favourite channel I fucking love the whole thing.
Oh my god the artwork on this video is so good. Like literally incredible! Who did it?! Was it you?!
Yes, I did it! Ty ❤️

@@HorsesOnYTIt’s not AI art right?
With a name like Grammaticus it was a really very fortunate coincidence indeed that his profession involved writing. I mean of all the luck someone could have, then what are the chances of exactly _that_ l wonder.
Regardless l can feel this sort of content really helping me to be smarter, and bringing out my innate wisdom and astuteness.
Hey, I really like the illustrations!
Jesus man, these drawings are awesome 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤
Saxo Grammaticus sounds like he’s straight outta the East v. West Bowl
Lmaoooooooo
14:08 you mean to say either "leery" or "wary", meaning cautious or distrustful, but like many people you combined the two and said "weary", which means sleepy. That's my vocab nerd deed for the day, you're welcome.
Your use of text and colour animation combined with your illustrations is outstanding. My graphic designer is having an orgasm while digesting this essay. Well fkn done mate.
My graphic designer brain*
WELL DONE
I don't know how you do it but that art is spectacular. It makes everything captivating.
obligatory algorithm engagement comment
these illustrations are so fucking good
Do you do the illustrations yourself?
Do you do all these paintings and drawings?
crazy video
great!
how do you make videos like this?
Really good un
Your work is fantastic
Do you create all your graphics and assets yourself?
For this video, yes ❤️
I like your style
Bricktop had perhaps heard this legend too.
I always thought the hero’s journey was really boring to learn, but now I understand why it’s important lol
Your content is excellent, buíochas ó Oileán Fhódhla
What if the answer in the vid was just like "no"
Damn bro thats crazy
Saxo grammticus is a sick name
Shoutout to Edward De Vere Iykyk
i wonder who makes all the drowings very success!
It's weird to listen about film that I turn off LAUGHING because they showed supposedly Rus, and I'll bet that at least half of the extras screamed in Polish. XD No, it's not a matter of language similarity, East Slavic languages are not similar enough for me, as a Pole, to confuse them with my language.
On serious note- murdered people screaming in my language caused me, firstly, to feel something more than usual in scenes of this type, and secondly, not root for the protagonist, because how can you wish well to a guy who murdered an entire village?
Amleth was him.
Amlyth’s story sounds a lot like Arthur’s.
Just thought it was an origin for a certain True Blood character.
What art style is this?
I love the story❤
The movie would have been a way different watch with Amleth acting all derpy for the first and second acts.
On brainwaves
Imagine a school that only teach on subject: A confusing text of religious violence, taught stopping conditioning, bigotry and hatred of outsiders.
Day in and day out.

Am I the only one who felt a stab of shame for the lady that offered herself up as war spoils?
You mean like those women at the border with _Refugees Welcome_ signs? 😂
@@Amfortas indeed. Very shameful
nice.
except, it's wary, not weary.
Latin wasn’t a vernacular language in the Middle Ages but the belief that only a handful of scholars could read it is an uninformed opinion. It was the language of religion, science, and history in Europe which anyone going into those fields was expected to learn
Lmao the flag of Romania in the first 0.40 minutes
You remind me so much of exurb1a somehow, I love it!
