It really helps support the video I do :-)
How good do you think Hiko was in Valorant and is he your Clutch God?

if Hiko was born a decade later, he'd probably be a monster.
The reason why he’s so good is because of his 20 years of cs experience. I guess you could apply that same argument to the players of today too then?
@@smogblazer4509 oh that's a good point actually
@@smogblazer4509 true he was a very big reason 100T establish themselves but still individually hiko from 2013-14 would have the advantage of being young player growing with the game
@@ZangetsuStorm the game is always growing and players are always improving. The same thing happens in basketball where the level of play is always increasing and players are forced to perform better on average. It honestly doesn’t matter what era you’re from as long as you can play to your best in the present. His time is already over and he did very well for himself, so he can at least have that. Hiko wasn’t anything special mechanically btw, which is outside the standards of val today. It was his work ethic that made him stand out, which also reflects over time no matter which era he’s in.
@@smogblazer4509 😅 I meant it more like he had more yrs to spare and grow with the game which a young player has and and I don't mean necessarily 18 19 even something 25-26
Great video but it doesn’t make sense to compare him to igls as steel was igl
10:23 one thing to note about the 100T comeback against acend on breeze is that it was the first time nitr0 had played as duelist (jett) on the team. in the comeback starting at 12-7 he went from 10/13 to 24/13. literally deathless going from bottom of the leaderboard to the top in 7 rounds. i remember popping off when he finally came online. ik its a hiko vid but nitr0 turned up big time in that game
keep it great quality vid and great commentary, you’ll be up there soon
my boomer king make one about ethan please the fact he competed at 16 yrs old is insane
csgo OGs remember NME koosta, nahte (ethan), chet (imapet) days
He's like the Al Horford of 100Thieves
So basically this is a 100T video, not a Hiko video
He even compared Hiko to other IGLs lmao, what a joke. I just wasted 14 minutes.
I started watching after Hiko retired so I never got to see him be good, but this was a very well put together historical video. Keep it up!
Great video overall! Just one thing I wanna highlight is that it really isn't fair to compare Hiko to IGLs as He wasn't one, Steel, Nitro, Ec1s and Ethan were the IGLs in 100t after the rebuild and as IGLs essentially micromanage and keep track of everyone on the team and ensure that they do their job meaning they keep track of most things strategically on a team, I feel as if comparing a regular support player to one is a bit unfair. It would be more accurate to compare to (in NA) Zombs, Derrek, Crashies, Bcj... etc as they filled the same type of support roles for their teams.
There's an unmentioned big reason why he faired so well against other IGLs: *He was not an IGL* ever since Steel joined the roster.
the king is alive
people forget his 1v4 against TSM on Ascent. unreal
soo there’s only 1 issue hiko retired in 2022 not 2021 otherwise nice video
I was about to say. I knew I wasn’t trippin lol
hatuh spotted
also hiko isn’t an igl
i love your passion and want to see you grow so i just wanted to leave something constructive: you're marketing your videos incorrectly. your title and thumbnails suggest an analysis where you tell a story instead. the storytelling is good but for those looking for analysis, your content feels a little disappointing. near the end, you do dive into statistics, but for a large majority, you outline score-lines and k/d more than other factors which make the times you do analyze non-impactful. with the 100t story, you could've talked about the role issues (asuna wasn't a jett oper), lcq delays, steel/frost drama, etc. additionally, with incorrect information at times (steel igl'd, not hiko), it's difficult to maintain professionalism. additionally, you lack a specific niche as atm, you act as a worse thescoreesports with base level storytelling. you need to focus more on the WHY and not just tell me what happened, because you're marketing towards people who already do. you can kinda think of it like a cinematic essay; make your claim, provide evidence, rebut counter-claims. unless you don't want to make video essays, if so use different titles and thumbnails to convey so.
TL;DR
- find your niche
- do your research
- create with purpose
i hope you read this correctly and this doesn't come off as mean but i really do hope you succeed and still really like what you have going
i love this
You did not need to say "a worse The Score eSports". You do realize they have a writing team, a thousands of dollars of equipment, editors and talent to host all their stuff. What authority do you have coming on here and saying all this stuff? A lot of us do this for fun or because we are fans. There's bound to be mistakes, live with the content or don't watch that's the best you can do.
@@ZephYanezVal i didn't mean for it to come off that way lol. i understand thescoreesports has many more resources and this is a passion project, i just want to give a perspective i think would help. i love your content too btw i watch u all the time. hope this clears that up
We all good! Thanks for your comment and for watching my video :) I appreciate it all
I think the biggest issue people had was not because he was a bad player. It was more so because he could be toxic at times to his teammates. Especially during the 13-0 match. Allegedly he made a lot of “I got my one” snide comments or similar remarks.
No teammate has called Hiko toxic, maybe a troll, but not toxic
No one ever called hiko toxic, maybe a baiter but not toxic.
as a cs guy ive NEVER heard anything bad about hiko as a teammate, in fact many people mentioned how they enjoyed playing with him
Next one : Subroza 🦈
11:05 for not Hiko does not take IGL role in this match even in this tournament, Steel did and what they do to comeback the score of ACEND is by using avoid strat... so the main reason why 100T get wrecked is bcs cNed.. so what steel call is to avoid he's site all the time
but after VCT berlin 100t got broke
everybody hate what steel do and what he call
Nitro play snake on his team than after that 100T got crumbled from inside
just to menyisakan Asuna only
BTW Hiko was S tier Clutcher in CSGO behind the God (Xyp9x) and the King (Shox) themselves.
Hiko wasnt IGL for most of the 100T run though? Steel was 🤨
hiko did not igl 100t in 2021. steel was igl
I put that as text once steel joined he took igl role since I didn't make that clear but I still consider the 2021 100t has Hiko's since the team was built around him as the only consistent player from 2020 until he retired
I still think if Steel wasn't replaced, 100T would have won champions
Make one for zombs
It's always so weird looking back at early pro play. It looks like an average ascendant lobby today
Asuna really is so good in the right hands, I think he could return to his form and shut up all the haters with an experienced igl
Eh I’ve always been a big asuna fan, but he plays kinda stupid sometimes and the game has gotten a lot more complex than during the hiko era. He’s still pretty solid though on 100t and definitely has a great future in valorant
@@jasoneng3161 I’d say he isn’t stupid but he does overheat sometimes
Bro baits his entire team and lives till end😂
Best baiter NA
Ruined the entire video at the end. Hiko is not the igl, steel was. even when steel got benched nitro took over the igl role
Baiter pro max
short answer. Yes. long answer. Yes he was good for a short time. But once the game started to get more strategic into the val we know now. no. he wasn't good. He was a good aimer but anything past that he never really was good. There is a reason why 100T improved so much after they let most of the old roster go
Hiko wasn’t an igl 😭
I think people call him “Clutch King” only because HE WAS ALWAYS THE LAST PERSON ALIVE IN THE TEAM…. you can see from some POV that he is not trying to fight but merely just to stay alive rather than TRADE kills
hiko was never the igl
