@@willdavies6080 I didn't remember fall in love having a bar of just drums in the beginning. You're probably right that he just took from that instead of sampling Soldier in our Town (the song Slum Village sampled) and recreating it. If only UA-cam let you upload an updated version of a video 😔
My understanding is that Lil Keke spit the "knocking doors down" bars on a DJ Screw freestyle (which I include in the video) but the specific way that it was chopped up on "Ayo" mirrors the way that it is used on the song "Knocking Doors Down" by Pimp C, which has a ft. Credit to Lil Keke because the sample is used so heavily. Thanks for the heads up my mistake here was not having Lil Keke's name listed to specify who's vocal it is but technically there is no incorrect information.
self medication makes me mad lmao, like i like the song, but as a sample heavy producer, if by chance was one of my secret gems that i had and was gonna use, but now that logic has used it, if i use it, it'll just be "oh hey that's the song logic sampled" and that really urks me, like i now i'll never escape logic comparisons
What should my next video be?
daft punk discovery!
@@mossball149 unfortunately it already exists ua-cam.com/video/3XaqDcg8KEo/v-deo.html
@@therealtomVinyl days
The Layedbackdfr and wii sports tennis had me dying 💀💀
You already know what it is. I'm drinking this water.
To all RattPack‚ make Layedbak react to College Park
btw village slum samples a flip of fall in love - slum village drums
I don't think it's a direct pull but I saw that mentioned while researching. Forgot to include.
@@therealtom definitely not but he flipped it

Every time there’s a siren/horn in a Logic song, you know it’s going to be crazy. That’s why I loved Vinyl Days so much
unpopular opinion, that first beat on lightyear is one of the best logic beats ever
It do go bananas
Totally agree
Just like 5hooks he cut it short sadly
100% agree bro, I really wish it lasted longer man. That beat lasted like a minute 😂
@@SteCollects bro I’m so glad 2 see somebody appreciate dat first 5 hooks half cuz it was hard ⚡️
I think logics production on his albums is very under appreciated
Well done! Thank you!
It's a pleasure to serve 🤙🏻
This album went hard🔥 regardless of ppl talking smack ab it
Certainly not one of my fav logic albums but it's solid.
@@therealtom well that’s your opinion sir
@@natedog4872 Do you like College Park more than Under Pressure and No Pressure?
@@therealtom give me a bit to answer this question, I gotta do my own research after being asked this,
I will be back
@@therealtom okay, yeah College Park no questions asked 🔥🔥🔥
King of the beats. Its in Therapy by Mac Miller too. ❤️

You're incredibly welcome
thank you so much for this ❤
Np babe
@3:47 is actually a sample of a Lil Keke freestyle on a DJ Screw tape. He even gives a credit to Lil Keke on the album

Great fucking work dude. Can I suggest you do a video for samples used in Servants in Heaven Kings in hell by Jedi mind tricks?

Didn’t Max Miller also sample starship orchestra on his song therapy off the album Faces
Nvm it just sounds the same
Yes he did. I saw that mentioned while researching.
i didn't even know he released a new album this year lmao
Village slum uses the same sample as the song american rap star by big K.R.I.T
more videos like this one
Any popular album in particular that doesn't already have a good video on it?
I have some short on samples too btw
Astrothunder was sampled on coordinates
0:31 same sample as mac miller - therapy?
Correct

Well rappers before Logic did sample other songs, it was kinda their thing when hip hop rose to fame.
Very true Logic did not in fact invent sampling.
The world premiere is sampled from Kendricks Momma track, but Logic has Juicy J say it
Thank you, def inspired but I wouldn't have included because it's a common phrase.
The coordinates song didnt have a sample? I've been wondering if astrothunder got sampled in it
I couldn't find anything for it
No fuxking way he sampled Kpop?!
i dont think wake up is the right sample, it doesn't sound quite right
